Behind the title
Your role as the new Firewall Architect will involve the responsibility of designing, configuring, and managing the Infrastructure Security of Product Supply IT network infrastructure (PSnet), in addition to handling firewall operations and troubleshooting. You will have the opportunity to work on your own and cooperate closely with the entire Connectivity team and our global stakeholders. You will join a team of people who are located in Denmark, US and India - working on how we can improve our infrastructure with  automation processes as well as other initiatives improving our global set-up. You will think on behalf of users on the production lines, adding value and being of service in their daily work.

 

In this role you will be responsible for:
•    Design, configure, review of security level, and manage of Infrastructure security (Firewalls/Proxy/IDS/IPS) based on Cisco and Palo Alto technologies
•    Management of Algosec products like Firewall Analyzer and FireFlow, with SolarWinds network focus too
•    Being part of the on-call duty (4-6 times a year)
•    Act as a technical Subject Matter Expert in the relevant projects by staying ahead of industry trends and assess new products and technologies
•    Continuous improvement of Production Infrastructure in terms of process automation as well as other initiatives improving our global set-up

 

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work from Ballerup with flexibility to work from home some of the time.

 

What skills we are looking for?
To be successful in this role, you should have: 
•    Bachelor´s degree or any higher qualification within IT, Engineering or a related field or relevant technology experience
•    5+ years of experience from a similar role with related responsibilities and tasks working with network security, specification, design, implementation and maintenance of IT solutions in large organizations (preferably within an Agile/SAFe framework)
•    Very good understanding of Cisco and Palo Alto Firewall technology, with experience with AlgoSec products like Firewall Analyzer and FireFlow  (preferably with Proxy/IDS/IPS/scripting)
•    Fluency in written and spoken English 
•    Willingness to travel to our Production sites across Denmark as required for the job

 

As a person you have good planning and time management skills, and you are motivated by taking ownership of larger deliverables across functional areas. You present ability to quickly absorb new knowledge, and demonstrate a strong interest in developing new competencies. You can collaborate and communicate with internal and external parties, vendors and consultants, as well with customers and potentially authorities, so you are ready to represent Novo Nordisk in relations with external stakeholders.

 Our Production IT Infrastructure department is responsible for setting the direction of a global uniform IT infrastructure in Product Supply by delivering compliant operations, effective IT Security controls and best-practice infrastructure standards.   
Moreover, we look after the definition, implementation and maintenance of PSnet supporting the manufacturing equipment and applications that are used in the production process. PSnet can be seen as a large network that connects and aligns all the Novo Nordisk productions networks in a uniform and regulated approach.
