Your new role

 

As Legal Ethics and Compliance Manager, you will be the strategic partner to the Head of LECQ (Legal, Ethics, Compliance & Quality), ensuring proactive legal advice, robust risk assessment, and compliance excellence across the cluster. Your work will directly safeguard our mission to defeat serious chronic diseases by ensuring every decision aligns with Novo Nordisk policies, external regulations, and the highest ethical standards.

Day-to-day your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide executive support to the Cluster Head of LECQ, anticipating needs and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
  • Managing all legal affairs of the cluster, providing strategic counsel on complex legal matters and ensuring alignment with global and local regulations
  • Leading ethics and compliance initiatives across the cluster, embedding a culture of integrity and accountability in all business activities
  • Conducting comprehensive legal, ethics and compliance risk assessments, identifying potential vulnerabilities and implementing mitigation strategies
  • Providing clear, actionable direction on legal and ethics compliance matters, enabling the business to operate with confidence and integrity
  • Building strong partnerships with cluster affiliates, global legal teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive consistent compliance standards
  • Staying ahead of regulatory changes in pharmaceutical and medical device industries, translating complex legal requirements into practical business guidance

Within Finance, Legal & Global Solutions, the Legal, Ethics, Compliance & Quality (LECQ) function plays a critical role in protecting our business and patients. As part of this team, you will work at the intersection of law, ethics and business strategy, ensuring that Novo Nordisk operates with integrity across all markets while enabling innovation and growth.

 

Your skills & qualifications

 

We're looking for an experienced legal professional with deep expertise in ethics, compliance and pharmaceutical regulation. You'll bring with you:

  • Law degree with bar admission and at least 5 years of legal experience in international environments or private practice, handling complex legal matters.
  • Strong expertise in Business Ethics & Compliance, preferably within the pharmaceutical or medical device sectors, and deep knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and data privacy requirements.
  • Excellent command of English and Russian, with solid understanding of IP, business, and financial terminology.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and time‑management skills, with a proactive attitude both as a team player and as an individual contributor.
  • Strong cultural awareness and ability to work effectively in international settings, with availability to travel to cluster affiliates and locations in Switzerland, Denmark, and BAMEAC.
