The position

As a Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Enhance patient engagement and access to innovative therapies by improving the patient journey, leveraging digital channels, and collaborating with distributors and pharmacy chains.
  • Support growth of the business by developing new accounts, and service existing accounts to improve patient outcomes in the private market sector through commercial partnerships (with distributors, pharmacy chains, private hospitals, private insurance companies, big employers with health benefit systems).
  • Conduct thorough business growth analysis to identify and communicate opportunities for strategic short- to mid-term growth. Develop sustainable data models and comprehensive reports to track progress and ROI, collaborating closely with key stakeholders.Lead the development and execution of strategies for patient activation, pharmacy engagement, and collaborative partnerships.
  • Finalize collaboration and negotiation processes; ensure life cycle management of signed agreements.Manage professional, knowledge driven cross-functional project teams. Challenge the status quo, mindset and pursue improvement in services and management; keeping in mind patients are the main decision makers in private market sector.
  • Drive local implementation of strategies, ensuring accountability and success through follow-up and outcome sharing. Adhere to ethical standards, local laws, and the Novo Nordisk Way in all activities.

 

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, consumer goods, or regulated industry, with a proven track record in people management.
  • Extensive experience in key account management, sales management, and business planning, preferably with distributors in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sectors.
  • Proficient understanding of contracting processes and contract negotiations.
  • Strong business acumen, including the ability to evaluate ROI for various tactics and sales channels.
  • Proven analytical skills to transform insights into actionable strategies with use of relevant data tools and the ability to communicate and present these internally and externally.
  • Advanced proactivity, accountability, stakeholder and project management skills 
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, and native in Azerbaijani/Turkish.
  • Master’s degree in social/health sciences, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • An agile mindset with the ability to adapt and apply learnings in unpredictable situations.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience
