Your new role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented VAT Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding our indirect tax compliance, driving efficiency and support improvements across processes and systems.

Some of your responsibilities will be to:

  • Act as a trusted internal VAT advisor across multiple tax jurisdictions
  • Manage VAT compliance , including VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, Intrastat and related filings ensuring optimized, timely and accurate submissions
  • Engage in the success of our tax technology strategy for indirect taxes, contributing to seeking opportunities for automation and efficiency
  • Support automated data-driven solutions across jurisdictions
  • Advise on e-invoicing, SAF-T and e-reporting requirements

 

Your new department

In Novo Nordisk’s Corporate Tax department, we are 20 dedicated employees. You will be part of the Indirect Tax Team which advises on VAT, customs duties, energy taxes and excise duties. You will refer to the Director of the team. Further to this, you will be part of the Global Tax organisation encompassing.

 

Your skills and qualifications
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: 

  • A Master’s degree in auditing, law or other relevant field, and solid experience from a similar position
  • Extensive knowledge of the legal requirements on indirect tax (5+ years), especially in Europe. It will be an advantage to have experience in the legislation on energy taxes, customs duties and/or excise duties
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and in writing

As a person, you possess strong communication and stakeholder management skills, analytical skills and well-founded documentation practices, including strong data handling and excel competencies.

You have a high level of drive and a strong sense of responsibility. You are proactive, work in a structured way, and ensure compliance, timely delivery, and high quality. You can handle complexity and know how to make things simple and understandable to people at all levels in the organisation.
