The position 

As a Travel Manager in Global Solutions, you will be responsible for leading, guiding, developing, and motivating a team of 7 highly skilled travel specialists on a daily basis, as well as being hands-on in driving projects by yourself. The team is responsible for supporting the inhouse VIP travel function servicing our senior Executives and other key stakeholders in the Novo Nordisk organisation.

In addition, you will be responsible for:

  • Setting the direction for the team and taking part in the agenda for Travel
  • Supporting our digital journey by leading or taking part in strategic digital projects for Travel
  • Interacting with stakeholders and supporting them with learnings, trends, and best practices 
  • Managing senior stakeholders across functions and at different levels inside and outside the company
  • Delivering monthly KPI reporting and support with ad-hoc CO2 related analysis
  • Leading and securing compliance to corporate agreements and related policies

Qualifications 

To succeed in this position, you hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Travel, Hospitality, Business Administration or similar, and have at least 5 years of experience working in business travel industry and building travel communities.

In addition, you bring the following experience:

  • Proven leadership experience with Travel and/or Hospitality in an international company or similar
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of engaged and experienced talented specialists
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with internal and external stakeholders across different functions and seniority levels
  • Agility to pick up new tasks and technologies, passionate about finding opportunities for innovation and efficiency
  • Proficiency in English and solid IT user skills  
  • Experience in Amadeus and Concur Travel and knowledge of the travel industry are an advantage

 

In addition to this, you thrive working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, with the ability to easily pivot across different topics and activities. Furthermore, we expect you to be highly driven and curious professional, always on the outlook to improve or expand your knowledge, be result-oriented and focused on deliveries of high quality at the right time, value end-user experience highly and finally, be able to work independently as well as together with the Travel team.  

 

About the department 

Travel is a part of the Conference Centres & Travel department (CC&T), which consist of 40 employees based in Denmark. The Travel department is responsible for travel-related activities and driving the travel strategy for Novo Nordisk HQ & Nordics and we are service providers that values end-user experience highly.
