The position

The role as Lead Manufacturing Domain Architect include setting technical direction for IT and OT in Product Supply short and long term. You will ensure and support initiatives in Product Supply to use best practices, design guides, principles and agreed standards for all our automation/OT and IT solution components (Infrastructure, Application and Data). Together with your colleagues you will drive the design, challenge, development and maintenance of technology standards. Part of the role is also to act as subject matter expect within automation/OT and IT and being able to guide and communicate  to a large group of various stakeholders.


We work in an agile setup based on SAFE and you act as product owner of the architecture runway that identify business epic needs for enablers and how these can be solved. You will interface with your peer domain architect colleagues, enterprise architects and solution architects. 


The Product Supply area has multiple international sites and we strive towards having global solutions both for IT and OT.



To be successful in this role, we believe it is essential that you master most of below:

  • Have Master’s degree within IT Software Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science or the like
  • Have minimum 5-7 years of experience covering IT operational processes and governance structures in large organisations
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience as Automation and IT architect (experience with international standards like ISA.S95 and ISA.S88)
  • Hands on technical experience with design, implement and qualifying Automation/OT solutions (PLC, DCS, SCADA, MES, Historian etc.) and network infrastructure
  • Experience with agile (SAFe) and Azure DevOps
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, development & integration (AWS or Azure)
  • Experience within the Pharma or Biotech industry (CAPx projects and/or OPx senior roles)
  • Are proactive, curious and you want to take the lead in ensuring the best Automation/OT and IT solutions.
  • Experience with external technical knowledge networks (Peer2Peer groups) and hosting sessions with external business partners (e.g. technology suppliers and OEM’s)
  • Moreover, you are a good communicator across functions, organisation levels, and cultures and you can listen and understand the OT, IT and business complexities and translate these into opportunities.


About the department

You will work in Manufacturing IT (part of Global IT), and we are focusing on and partnering with Product Supply. You will get the opportunity to join an international, high performing team located in Bagsværd, Denmark. The department has the responsibility for the domain architecture and for managing the technology standards, managing and developing the Lean Portfolio Management function, change management and communication and spearheading large IT initiatives
