The Position

As our new System Manager, you'll be responsible for assuring and developing our Historian Data Platform in order to support our data strategy in our CVP area, as well as ensuring and strengthening our ability to use data for product release and Manufacturing Intelligence. The data from our Pilot factories is essential to develop new product for our patients.


Our Historian Data Platform plays a central role in making data available for reporting, batch release and Manufacturing Intelligence. The platform is based on the PI technology from OSIsoft.


Key responsibilities summed up:

  • Ensure uptime and efficiency of our data platform by monitoring the state of data interfaces, data archives and system performance (CPU utilization and storage needs)
  • Maintenance and configuration of PI Interfaces (e.g., backfilling of data from source systems)
  • Implementation, design, test and validation of data interfaces and system upgrades
  • Troubleshooting and 1. Level support, including communication to affected end-users
  • Configuration of batch and time-based reports and user management
  • Drive initiatives to improve our operational setup – tools and processes

It is important that you have the courage to take on new assignments and find the right solution to resolve issues when they arise.

You will be supported by your co-workers, and this position offers a steep learning curve as well as many exciting technical challenges.


You hold a higher education such as B.Sc. or M.Sc. within e.g., IT, Computer Science, alternatively you have acquired a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience. You have a great passion for working with interfaces, data and technical problem-solving.


To succeed in the role, you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Knowledge and experience with OSIsoft PI system or other equivalent historian technologies would be advantageous
  • Knowledge and understanding of System Architecture design, specification and system administration
  • Basic programming skills, experience with data storage or data base and Oracle and SQL
  • Fluent in English both written and verbal; Danish language skills would be an asset

The Department
In the IT & Automation team we work with ensuring stable and efficient operation of our IT & automation systems, keeping the systems in compliance, and implementing large- and small-scale IT & automation solutions together with ensuring data availability in our Pilot factories. The team consists of 19 highly competent automation and data engineers working across different automation and data technologies.
