Entrepreneurial Sustainability Project Manager for Circular for Zero Incubator 

Do you have a track record of identifying sustainability and business opportunities? Are you entrepreneurial, innovative, self-driven and experienced in having multiple projects ongoing simultaneously? Then you might be the new project manager we are looking for in our Corporate Facilities ‘Circular for Zero’ Incubator.

 

The job

As our new Sustainability Project Manager, you will become part of a corporate incubator and work to identify and bring ‘Circular for Zero’ initiatives through various stages of maturity and lead the implementation. You will use your innovation and entrepreneurial skills and stakeholder management expertise to navigate the different seniority levels in Novo Nordisk, run pilots and drive the implementation of sustainability and business improvement opportunities. You will collaborate and interact across Novo Nordisk and with external partners.

 

Furthermore, you will:

  • Be a driving part of our incubator collaboration with academia
  • Identify, mature and drive Circular for Zero flagship projects resulting in significant impact
  • Use strategic intuition to connect the dots where potential may not be apparent, and build business cases with tangible environmental, social and financial impact
  • Infuse the Incubator team with your sustainability and entrepreneurial experience
  • Analyse and transform data into clear and engaging project presentation material for your steering groups and various forums at senior management level

 

With these skills, you will be a driving part of the Incubator, ensuring that we implement tangible and significant steps towards achieving zero environmental impact. You will realise the ideas and prove that circular economy initiatives can have a triple bottom line impact.

 

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in driving and operationalising innovative and entrepreneurial projects in large organisations. You might hold a master’s degree in Design and Innovation or a field within sustainability. You possess strong communication, stakeholder and disruption management skills, that you have put into play when taking projects from early maturity stage through to implementation and handover. You have a broad and deep knowledge of the sustainability landscape within materials and facility management and are well-informed about the newest trends in this field.

 

Our ‘Circular for Zero’ strategy is based on the concept of circular economy, and experience in this area will therefore be an advantage.

 

We expect you to:

  • have solid experience within project management including the Agile framework
  • be structured and skilled in navigating disruption and high complexity  
  • be able to motivate yourself in situations where you encounter organisational resistance
  • have senior stakeholder management experience
  • be analytical and capable of turning complex information into simple and engaging presentations
  • be fluent in spoken and written English and Danish

 

As an individual you have a can-do attitude, and are self-driven, structured and an excellent communicator. You work systematically, logically and proactively. You are robust and capable of handling a high-paced and complex work environment without losing oversight and motivation.

 

About the department

The Real Estate, Joint Operations and Finance department is part of the Corporate Facilities business unit in Novo Nordisk. Our focus is on managing our financials and real estate assets, and strategically driving digitalisation and environmental sustainability efforts.

 

The available position is in the ‘Circular for Zero Incubator’ team. We manage a large portfolio of sustainability initiatives at multiple impact and maturity levels, some spanning the entire organisation. We drive ideation and work to systematically and strategically implement ‘Circular for Zero’ initiatives within the areas of waste, biodiversity, energy optimisation, infrastructure, building maintenance, cleaning and more. We collaborate across business areas of Novo Nordisk and with external partners including consultants and academia.
