The position
Our supply chain network will expand significantly in size, volume, and complexity in the years to come to support our pipeline of new product introductions as well as our fast-growing markets for already established products. To ensure we set up NovoNordisk supply chain for success and support the development of our long-term horizon are expanding our management team and are looking for a Global Supply Chain Strategy Director who will be responsible for:
- Drive supply chain strategies across products and platforms and set direction for robustness and resilience in our Supply Chains.
- Work with the Technology Platform Strategy Leads and the Supply Chain Design Leads to develop business continuity strategies across all technology platforms and products in alignment with the Manufacturing and Supply Chain (MSC) Principles.
- Work closely with all commercial units to become the driving force behind integrating the supply chain perspective into commercial decisions.
- Drive strategy development in alignment with all Therapeutical Areas translating commercial needs to supply chain responses.

- Capable of driving change, leading others and delivering results without formal authority
- Able to navigate our complex and dynamic organization and understand how to drive accountability across multiple units
- Able to recognize, diagnose and manage complex issues where substantial innovation is required as solutions are not always evident
- Thrive in multifaceted decision-making environments and able to translate complex business information into clear management presentations and direction for the team
Qualifications
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience, knowledge of pharma trends and innovation within supply chain and holds a Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or related filed.
You are a person who adapts easily, works proactively, and independently. In a continuously changing environment, you excel at managing input and output for translating complex business information into models that serve as a base for further decision-making on both project and management levels. Your curious nature and natural commitment to investigating and learning about the business areas and the stakeholders who depend on you make you an invaluable asset.
About the department
The position reports to the Corporate Vice President for Strategic Supply Chain and Design, a new Business Unit created in 2023 and dedicated to strengthening the collaboration throughout the entire value chain, spanning from CMC Development & Scaling to Manufacturing and Commercial.
Our goal is to create long term end-to-end supply chain strategies across products and technology platforms. These strategies serve as guiding principles for global network decisions, encompassing factors such as make vs. buy choices, expansion locations, production priorities, and timing.
You will be a part of the management team who is accountable to manage the following areas: Capacity Planning, Supply Chain Design, Business Continuity Strategy, Global Network Strategy, Supply Chain Strategy.
