Are you studying towards a career in life sciences, quality or operations – and looking for a hands-on student job where your attention to detail makes a real difference? Join our Customer Complaints team as our next Sample Coordinator and become a key part of how we handle complaint samples from around the world.

Your new role

As Student Assistant in Customer Complaints, you will be the go-to coordinator for handling samples linked to customer complaints. This is a physical, hands-on role that requires good focus and strong attention to detail. The number, type and timing of incoming tasks are unpredictable – meaning no two days look the same, and your flexibility, initiative and prioritisation skills will make a real difference.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Registering sample reception and preparing samples to be shipped to investigators
  • Receiving and handling samples from affiliates, case handlers in Customer Complaints and investigators
  • Archiving samples according to our quality standards and procedures
  • Supporting colleagues in Customer Complaints with ad hoc tasks as they arise
  • Prioritising your own workload independently and driving self-initiated improvements to how we work
  • Adapting to a volatile environment where workload can be high and is often governed by circumstances outside our control

The role is open now until the end of this year, with the possibility of extension. The preferred start date is 1 August. During onboarding, we will ask you to be more present onsite to complete your training, after which the time commitment can be reduced. Flexibility regarding your workdays is needed, but we would prefer if you are able to work on Wednesdays.
Please note the position is situated in Bagsværd, but that we could potentially move to another location in Denmark. You would be notified in advance if any changes would be made.

Your new department

In Enterprise IT & Quality, you will be part of a business area that drives impact across the full Novo Nordisk value chain. We strive to stay close to our stakeholders in the business to ensure we deliver on their needs, helping reach millions of people living with serious chronic diseases. Our focus is on being at the forefront within our three areas; ensuring the highest quality for patients, being a trusted tech leader and an environmentally responsible business.

You will join Customer Complaints, Operations – a team dedicated to investigating and resolving complaints related to Novo Nordisk products. Sample handling sits at the heart of this work, and as our Sample Coordinator you will support the operational backbone that keeps investigations moving and patients protected. Please note that the position is based in Denmark, and the specific site may change to another Novo Nordisk location in Denmark. Onsite presence is required.

Your skills & qualifications

We are looking for a structured, proactive student who thrives on variety and is not afraid to take ownership. To succeed in this role, you likely bring:

  • Ongoing enrolment in a relevant Bachelor's or Master's programme (e.g. life sciences, pharmacy, biotechnology or similar)
  • A high degree of flexibility and change readiness, with the ability to stay effective in a volatile environment where workload can vary
  • Strong independent operations and self-promoted initiative – you spot what needs doing and act on it
  • Solid independent prioritisation skills and the confidence to manage your own tasks with limited supervision
  • Good focus and strong attention to detail, and comfort with physical, hands-on work when registering, preparing and archiving samples
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
