We're looking for a Senior IT/OT Manager to join Site Bagsværd—one of Novo Nordisk's most strategically important production sites. About the role
As Senior IT/OT Manager, you will lead a team of Operational Technology specialists responsible for supporting the site's critical manufacturing systems and automation landscape.
This role combines people leadership, operational excellence and stakeholder management. Rather than being the technical expert in every discussion, your success will come from creating an engaged, high-performing team, building strong relationships across the production organisation and ensuring your specialists have everything they need to deliver an outstanding service.
Working closely with Production, Quality, Enterprise IT and Engineering, you'll help balance daily operational priorities with exciting automation and expansion projects as Site Bagsværd continues to grow.
Key responsibilities
As Senior IT/OT Manager, you will:
- Lead, coach and develop a highly skilled team of IT/OT and automation specialists.
- Create an engaged, collaborative and high-performing team culture built on trust, accountability and continuous development.
- Build strong partnerships with Production, Quality, Enterprise IT and Engineering to understand business priorities and deliver outstanding operational support.
- Provide visible leadership on the production floor, maintaining close relationships with stakeholders and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure the reliable operation of OT systems supporting 24/7 manufacturing activities.
- Manage operational priorities, resource planning and service delivery across the team.
- Coordinate IT/OT support for automation projects, site expansion initiatives and continuous improvement programmes.
- Develop strong relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring high-quality delivery and effective performance management.
- Support governance, audit readiness and compliance with enterprise IT standards and manufacturing requirements.
- Contribute as an active member of the site leadership team, helping shape the future direction of the IT/OT function.
You will thrive in this role if you have
- Proven experience leading technical, engineering or Operational Technology teams.
- Experience working within manufacturing, industrial or other production environments.
- A good understanding of Operational Technology, including PLC and SCADA environments.
- The ability to engage confidently with technical specialists while translating complex issues for business stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience partnering across Production, Quality, Engineering and IT.
- A coaching leadership style that develops people, builds capability and empowers technical experts.
- Experience managing competing priorities within a fast-paced operational environment.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills.
- Professional fluency in spoken and written English.

Salary and benefits
Salary: For this role, the annual base salary ranges from DKK 742,600 to 1,091,600, depending on your experience and competencies.
Incentives and benefits: The package may include short- and/or long-term incentives as well as additional employee benefits, aligned with the position level, location, and market benchmarks.
