Would you like to drive high impact sourcing projects? Are you keen on taking responsibility for agile project execution? Are you a strong sourcing professional? If yes, then you could be our new Sourcing Project Manager.


About the department
You will join our Sourcing Project Acceleration department, reporting to the Senior Manager. We are a small and agile team of seven people with project management and strategic sourcing profiles. We drive projects across our global organisation as partners to the Category Managers and the management team in Strategic Sourcing.
Strategic Sourcing is the central sourcing unit in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division, and we are commercially responsible for our award winning and robust supply chain to safeguard the Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production. Through collaboration with our global supplier network, we ensure availability of the supply needed to develop and produce products which help millions of people around the world to better live with chronical diseases.


The position
Your position will encompass that you:
•Drive sourcing projects across CVP areas of Novo Nordisk, delivering significant budget impact, and mobilising stakeholders regarding cost reduction initiatives
•Drive RFx activities, conducting negotiations with suppliers based on TCO-models, market analysis, and demand forecasts
•Support development of a new agile procurement model and application of best practice
•Support the discipline of accelerating sourcing opportunities and show commercial edge
•Deliver knowledge and experience to Strategic Sourcing colleagues around sourcing processes.
Some travel activity is to be expected, however, travel activities are not likely to exceed 20 days per year.


You hold a M.Sc. degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or equivalent. You have 2-5 years of experience in driving sourcing projects and supplier negotiations from a major international company, or consultancy, topped with international experience.

You have a strategic mind-set and an ability to quickly understand different business models and industry dynamics. You can put strategy into action by breaking down the bigger picture into specific supply chain related decisions. Your ability to work fact-based with quantitative data and uphold high professional standards in deliverables will be crucial for your success.
You naturally take responsibility for driving projects forward, interacting with stakeholders at all levels and across a complex stakeholder landscape. You communicate clearly and concisely, and you are comfortable in giving presentations. You like to impact decision-making through giving of clear recommendations, always founded on solid data and analysis. Additionally, you thrive in a busy environment and bring a ‘can-do attitude’ and a healthy sense of humour to your work, also when the pressure is on. 
Lastly, you are fluent in both verbal and written English.
