The position 

As Senior Supply Manager you will optimize categories across the inbound supply chain from supplier to Novo Nordisk production in collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will:

  • Drive and develop relevant category teams, working closely with Quality, Strategic Sourcing, and other stakeholders to execute the Category Plan and solve specific issues. 
  • Lead tasks and projects within the relevant category as defined in our category plan(s) or prioritized by the Category Group. 
  • Monitor and drive supplier performance, ensuring adherence to agreements, on-time delivery, and quality performance. 
  • Manage supplier capacity by establishing and coordinating purchase forecasts, matching supplier capacities to Novo Nordisk’s future production demands. 
  • Ensure supplier compliance with Novo Nordisk purchasing requirements, including managing supplier-related change requests. 
  • Drive and contribute to supplier/supply risk management in the relevant sourcing categories. 

 

Qualifications 

We are looking for candidates who can bring the following qualifications to the table: 

  • A master’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Substantial experience in category management, procurement, or supply chain management preferably from a highly regulated industry.
  • Proven experience in supplier management, including performance monitoring, risk management and negotiation. 
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and regulatory compliance in supply chain management. 

 

In addition, you have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, fluent spoken and written English.

The Inbound Supply Management department at Novo Nordisk plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials and components critical to the company's production and supply chain operations. This department is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the inbound supply processes, fostering strong relationships with suppliers, and maintaining an efficient flow of goods from external sources into the company's production facilities.
