The position
As Senior Project Manager you will work with one or more projects simultaneously underpinning the strategic initiatives and overall growth of Novo Nordisk. You will manage projects from inception through execution and finally implementation, following the existing governance model of SoOp as well as making use of tools from your own diverse project toolbox.
You will engage with a variety of job roles and functions, and could find yourself in a boardroom one day, and in our quality control lab implementing process improvements the next.
Some of your key responsibilities include:
- Developing, scoping, and executing on strategic transformation projects
- Establishing and running Steering Committees and taking ownership of change management activities required for successful project execution
- Developing crisp and informative reporting material at VP and Corporate VP (CVP)-suite level
- Coordinating activities across projects, both within SoOp and across Novo Nordisk
- Steering multi-disciplinary project teams through all project phases, offering guidance and motivation, along with constant risk management and mitigation
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, we imagine you:
- Hold a master’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, project management, or a related field
- Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of proven project management expertise, with proficiency in a variety of project tools and methodologies
- Have experience with project management on CVP level, ideally from a larger matrix organization
- Have proven track record of successfully guiding, coaching, and empowering (project) team members
- Are fluent in both written and spoken English
It would be considered as a plus if you have experience in the pharmaceutical industry or working with GMP.
On a personal level, you excel working on your own as well as prioritising team success. You are a natural facilitator, building strong bonds across any organisation, with people seeking your time for sparring and advise. You communicate effectively with a structured, analytical, and problem-solving mindset. You have a strategic thinking and strong time management skills, anticipating risks and changes that could affect your projects. You respect the views of others yet can drive a decision through and directing Steering Committees to conclusions.
About the Department
You will be part of the Project Execution Team in SoOp Business Support. We drive the vast portfolio of strategic projects within SoOp, and support on other high priority projects or ad-hoc burning platforms that needs attention in our part of the business. In SoOp the primary focus is to make raw- and packaging- materials available to the Novo Nordisk production sites globally.
We are a diverse team of approx. 10 project managers, with different backgrounds, ethnicity and experience. We support and challenge each other and put effort into creating a good foundation for our joint wellbeing and ability to perform well, both in- and out-side the office.
Our primary location is at the headquarters in Bagsværd, but the nature of our work often calls for office days at alternative Novo Nordisk locations.
