Senior Pilot Scientist

Are you an experienced pilot scientist within down stream processing with a strong passion for upscaling laboratory scale processes into robust manufacturing processes in pilot scale? Join us and play a key role in pilot plant facility supporting the delivery of high‑quality APIs for clinical and non‑clinical use. This role offers high scientific ownership in a collaborative and GMP regulated environment.
Your new role
As a Senior Pilot Scientist, you will act as a subject‑matter expert within manufacturing process engineering, taking scientific responsibility for pilot‑scale processes and productions. You will work independently while collaborating closely across functions to ensure high‑quality, compliant, and efficient process execution and delivery of API for clinical trials.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Planning and executing and reporting productions in pilotscale. Leading scale‑up of laboratory processes to robust pilot‑scale manufacturing within purification.
- Acting as scientific lead on assigned interdisciplinary projects.
- Continuous improvement mindset to support effective and compliant process execution.
- Take active part in putting our new purification facility in to operation in Q3 2026
- Mentoring technicians and colleagues while contributing to knowledge sharing.
Your new department
You will join Purification Pilot Plants, a specialised manufacturing process engineering environment within CMC Development. You are working closely with colleagues across QA, Research & Development, Regulatory Affairs, and Product Supply. The department is characterised by strong scientific ownership, high professional standards, and close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure reliable pilot‑scale production in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Your skills and qualifications
To succeed in this role, you combine strong scientific expertise with hands‑on experience in pilot‑scale process development.
We expect that you have:
- A PhD with 3–4 years of relevant experience, a Master’s degree with 5–7 years manufacturing process engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience with chromatography and TFF processes in pilot or production scale
- Solid experience with working in a GMP regulated ares
- Strong understanding of process and value chains, including data handling, documentation, and quality systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and influence stakeholders.
- A proactive, flexible, and structured problem‑solving mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from DKK 651,000 to DKK 956,900 (DK), corresponding to the level of the position.
The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short‑term and/or long‑term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
