The position

In Network Strategy, we are responsible for ensuring that a coherent network strategy exits for all production platforms in Novo Nordisk and the subsequent deployment of the strategies in Line of Business. We’re committed to support transparent senior decision making, which helps drive Novo Nordisk’s long-term ambitions of serving significantly more patients.

 

As Senior Network Strategy Lead you are responsible for the establishing, maintaining and deploying the network strategy for the Drug Substance area. You act as a trusted partner to senior management and collaborate closely with business support units, the supply chain organisation, production sites, Manufacturing & Development, and colleagues in the commercial organisation.

 

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Lead the Supply Chain domain of expertise on the Yeast, mammalian, E.coli and/or the synthetic API platforms together with two close colleagues
  • Lead the development of the platform strategy in collaboration with the relevant SVP areas in PS and Commercial and ensuring the supply plan (S/D) is aligned to the platform strategy.
  • Act with mandate from Supply Chain to make network allocation decisions across products within the platform, in alignment with the Platform Strategy guiding principles and the relevant product manufacturing strategies.
  • Assess strategic fit of available internal, external, and brownfield solutions, driving supply chain assessment as part of the PS due diligence of potential commercial assets impacting this platform.
  • Govern the API Platform steering group to enable all platform decisions.

 

In addition, you will continuously identify opportunities for innovation and improvement to drive the platform, regularly lead project teams to achieve milestones and objectives, build strong relationships with key internal decision-makers and coach/mentor PMs or specialists across Strategic Supply Chain & Design, SVP areas in PS, CMC, and Commercial.

 

Qualifications

You are an ambitious and motivated individual with a master’s degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Chemistry or a similar fields. You can break down complex situations, problems, and issues into practical solutions via close collaboration with the team and colleagues around the organisation. You possess excellent stakeholder management skills, have an open and curious approach to your work and can clearly convey information and ideas to colleagues and management and can proactively support Supply Chain related decision-making.

 

You thrive in being a strong representative of your domain of expertise and proactively apply your knowledge to secure continuous improvement of our deliverables.

In addition, you likely have 10+ years of experience from working in Supply Chain, Manufacturing Development and/or strategic functions, which means you have a good balance between technical knowledge about API production and knows how to use that knowledge to work strategically.

 

Furthermore, you are fluent in spoken and written English.
