Category:  Procurement
Location:

Bagsværd, Capital Region of Denmark, DK

Do you possess an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for direct sourcing, excited about international projects and exposure to diverse cultures? Are you self-driven and naturally curios, adept at finding creative solutions in the outsourcing of Drug Product manufacturing, where no two projects are alike?

If you are ready to implement unique business models and be in a continuous learning journey, then apply today and join us in the Drug Product Outsourcing department within Global Strategic Outsourcing & Devices (GSOD)!

The Position
The need for market-specific Drug Product outsourcing initiatives to enhance our access and penetration is growing, and we want you to be part of this journey. As a Senior Market Access Sourcing Professional, your focus will be on supporting Market Access projects and contracting with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) to establish market-specific Fill/Finish services.

Effective collaboration with external partners and the global Novo Nordisk teams is vital to ensure that we achieve our supply chain goals at a competitive price for our patients.

In this role, you will engage with CMOs in diverse geographies providing Aseptic Production, Device Assembly, and Secondary Packaging services, with special focus on market access needs, to ensure that we always have the right contractual and strategic setup to support the outsourcing agenda and the demand of the organization.

Your primary tasks entail:

  • Building strong connections across Novo Nordisk to deeply understand business needs and collaboratively shape effective solutions
  • Leveraging interpersonal skills to facilitate creative thinking and knowledge transfer from external advisors when in-house knowledge may require additional insight
  • Leading negotiations with identified CMOs and assisting the legal organization in drafting sourcing contracts
  • Assisting the implementation of new business models with CMOs, ensuring adherence to Novo Nordisk standards in worldwide operations
  • Managing the commercial aspect of the ongoing CMO relationships

Your role also involves conducting sourcing events (RFI, RFP, RFQ) to identify CMO solutions, considering a portfolio of sourcing criteria, which may be complex to retrieve or define in collaboration with stakeholders, such as sustainability, costs, timelines, technology, robustness, biodiversity, and responsible sourcing

You will be working with CMOs located in diverse geographies; hence you should expect up to 10 days of travel activities per year. This position holds ample opportunities for personal and professional development and will quickly establish you as the go-to person within your area, giving you exposure to management.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we believe you:

  • Hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, project management, or a related discipline
  • Bring at least 3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, category management, or business development, ideally within pharma or a GMP-regulated environment
  • Demonstrate strong negotiation skills, with the ability to lead negotiations with CMOs
  • Showcase proficiency in effectively managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Display excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English

Experience in drug product manufacturing, fill/finish, aseptic production, or related areas can be particularly valuable.

As a person, you are self-driven, adept at swiftly grasping complex business models, and comfortable collaborating with diverse cultural backgrounds. While you maintain a solid grasp of the big picture, your diligence and attention to detail are unwavering, allowing you to make quick decisions and operate in an environment with uncertainties. Your persistence and readiness to go the extra mile are complemented by skilled project management, strong analytical abilities, and a solid numerical understanding. Lastly, you thrive in a multicultural, fast-paced environment and bring a "can-do" attitude and a healthy sense of humour, even under pressure.
