The position

As Senior Manager, you oversee two teams each led by a manager, divided into categories: Raw Materials and Pack Materials. You will have 3 direct reporting lines: the two Category Managers and a Quality Support Manager. The total team size is 22 employees. You will reporting to ISM Director and become part of the ISM management team.

 

The Quality Support team’s core responsibility is the handling of deviations for purchased raw materials, process aids, primary- and secondary packaging materials. The team acts as a single point of entry for consuming departments worldwide in Novo Nordisk, regarding quality issues on released purchased materials.

 

Through a standardized approach, the team ensures timely progress of critical activities, such as investigations and corrective actions related to errors on purchased material.

 

Your key responsibilities encompass:

  • Fostering a culture of high well-being, continuous people development, and innovation within your team and across related organizational departments
  • Overseeing the deviations handling process for raw and packaging materials, ensuring a standardized and consistent approach throughout every step in the process
  • Driving the development, implementation, and maintenance of KPIs, while continuously refining dashboards and seeking out best practices
  • Ensuring strict adherence to processes, ensuring a standardized approach for deviation handling
  • Guaranteeing that processes are continuously matured and improved, without compromising quality, through close collaboration with our QA department

 

In addition, you actively engage with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring strong collaboration and making sure that the teams have the appropriate resources and the necessary competencies to effectively carry out the tasks.

 

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, we believe you:

  • Hold an academic degree in engineering, business administration, manufacturing, or a related field
  • Demonstrate substantial experience as a people leader who builds trust, drives engagement, and ensures team well-being, ideally in leading leaders
  • Possess at least 8 years of experience in quality within the pharmaceutical, medical devices, or food industries
  • Showcase solid communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, along with strong performance and professional ethics/integrity
  • Display proficiency in both spoken and written English

 

It would be considered as a strong advantage if you hold relevant certifications in Six Sigma and/or project management.

 

As a person, you have solid stakeholder management and communication skills. You are authentic and empathetic, with strong interpersonal skills that enable you to build trust. You are a people leader by nature with the ability to coach and guide others in a complex and global stakeholder landscape. You are a strategic thinker, driven to introduce new ideas and with the ability to set ambitious goals and challenge the status quo. Lastly, you have a high degree of independence and take initiative to challenge ways of doing things and drive innovative improvements.

 

About the Department

Inbound Supply Management is part of Sourcing Operations (SoOp), which has the overall operational responsibility for the inbound supply chain of Novo Nordisk and consists of 650 employees. We use our differences to create novel ideas and high-quality solutions to ensure continuous improvement of the SoOp function globally.
