The position
As Senior Manager, you will manage a team of highly skilled Integration Managers, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure the successful integration of acquired businesses into Novo Nordisk.
The team functions with a high level of autonomy, and you will be responsible for both guiding your team to achieve results and making individual contributions that are strategical and tactical.
You will be working in a culture ready to challenge systems and processes, ensuring ongoing optimisation by being a highly visible manager who offers guidance and coaching to support your team.
Your key activities include:
- Fostering a culture that emphasizes employee wellbeing, continuous development, and innovation within your team and across related departments
- Leading the development and execution of acquisition strategies, including target identification, due diligence, negotiation, and post-merger integration planning
- Overseeing the integration of acquired companies and new material categories, including scope definition, strategy, supplier oversight, and material quality control
- Cultivating strong connections with external partners, advisors, and acquisition prospects to drive growth
- Serving as the primary contact for stakeholders, ensuring alignment of decisions, activities, and representation in relevant forums
In this role, you will act as a trusted business partner to both the internal organization and external collaborators, driving change across different levels. This includes communicating strategic priorities, managing procedures, leading change management initiatives, and ensuring clear reporting and progress on key activities.
As you will be working with suppliers and internal stakeholders internationally, you should expect up to 20 days of travel activities.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we believe you:
- Hold a master’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, project management, business administration, or another related field
- Demonstrate strong people management abilities, coaching, mentoring, and developing the team within a fast-paced environment
- Bring extensive project management expertise, with a proven track record of effective cross-functional collaboration and experience working with value streams
- Showcase solid communication and stakeholder management skills, adeptly building a network within Product Supply and related areas within Novo Nordisk
- Display fluency in both spoken and written English
It would be considered as a strong advantage if you have supply chain knowledge or experience in integrating acquisitions.
Personally, you are an empathetic leader with strong communication skills, making it easy for you to build trusting relationships with your team and effectively bridging cultural and organisational distances within a complex stakeholder landscape. You naturally become a trusted point of guidance, with the leadership skills and the passion to inspire and energise those around you. You skilfully navigate complexities and challenges, even in uncertain situations, applying a structured, calm, and clear approach.
About the department
You will be a part of the Business Support department that is responsible for driving the strategic development of SoOp that has the overall responsibility for the inbound supply chain in Novo Nordisk and consists of 600 dedicated employees.
