To strengthen this commitment, Group Internal Audit (GIA) is looking for a Senior Manager, Business Ethics Assurance to lead and further develop our Business Ethics assurance activities with a strong strategic and people leadership focus.
This is a role where you will combine strategic oversight, assurance expertise, and people leadership, while working closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
Your new role
As Senior Manager for Business Ethics Assurance in Group Internal Audit, you will lead a diverse team of 6 highly skilled professionals—auditors, compliance specialists, and a software developer—while remaining hands-on in conducting business ethics audits yourself. This is a unique opportunity to shape the strategic direction of business ethics assurance across Novo Nordisk's global operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing daily leadership, guidance and support to your team, fostering their development and motivation
- Setting the strategic direction for business ethics assurance and contributing to the GIA Management team
- Conducting ongoing risk assessment procedures and defining the audit plan for global business ethics audits
- Leading or participating in strategic digital projects that advance GIA's digital transformation journey
- Conducting business ethics audits globally, ensuring robust assurance across our operations
- Interacting with stakeholders across the organization, sharing learnings, trends and best practices
- Taking part in the Global Compliance Forum, contributing to enterprise-wide compliance excellence
Your new department
You will be part of Group Internal Audit (GIA), located at our Headquarters in Bagsværd outside Copenhagen, Denmark. From here, you will lead business ethics auditors who conduct audits of both Danish Headquarter functions and global Novo Nordisk affiliates. GIA consists of 25 dedicated colleagues representing 7 different nationalities, responsible for providing assurance to Senior Management and the Audit Committee within business ethics, ESG, finance and IT.
Your skills & qualifications
You thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, demonstrating a strong sense of urgency with the ability to pivot easily across different topics and activities. You bring:
- Proven experience with healthcare compliance and/or auditing in an international company, a law firm or an accounting firm
- Strong knowledge of business ethics, compliance, and risk management principles, with experience in anti-bribery & anti-corruption, interactions with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and Healthcare Organisations (HCOs), Public Officials (POs), and Patients, third-party management, and data privacy
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team of engaged and experienced talented auditors
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders across different functions and seniority levels
- Agility to pick up new tasks and technologies, with a passion for finding opportunities for innovation and efficiency
- Master's degree or equivalent in Law, Business Law, Finance, Business Administration or Auditing

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 742,600.00 to 1,091,600.00 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.
The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
