Senior Manager, Advanced Analytics

The position

We are looking for an experienced leader to further advance our Analytics function. A key enabler for taking Procurement to the next level will be to leverage holistic insights to drive value in and from procurement, and this role is pivotal to drive and enable Analytics team in accelerating this journey.

 

As the Senior Manager of Advanced Analytics, you will lead a team of 8-10 specialists in 3 different tracks (Business Intelligence partners, data engineer, and automation engineer), and collaborate closely with our global Procurement organization to drive value creation by leveraging holistic insights.

 

Some of your responsibilities will be to:

  • Develop Advanced Analytics strategy and anchor in the Global Procurement Strategy and drive implementation across all Procurement units.
  • Act as a strategic partner to Senior Management ensuring that Novo Nordisk Procurement sets and delivers on ambitious targets utilising digitalisation and data insights.
  • Ensure insightful data is available and utilised across all levels of global Novo Nordisk organisation (incl. reports to Senior Management on strategic initiatives such as sustainability related insights) and drive an increasingly data driven culture.
  • Successfully anchor Analytics CoE in offshore Global Service Centre and drive effective utilisation within the CoE.
  • Lead, coach and build highly engaged Analytics team.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Finance, Economics, Engineering or similar with excellent results.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience and proven track record preferably with a combination of finance/ controlling, procurement and business intelligence, including at least 5 years of with people leadership.
  • Knowledge of and experience within various data systems, database/ foundation, data engineering process, BI solutions and platforms.
  • Solid knowledge and experience with stakeholder and change management in a complex organisation.

 

On a personal level, you are motivated by driving change, bridging gaps across cultures and effectively collaborating with stakeholders at all organisational levels. You set high ambitions for yourself and your team and have the ability to motivate and inspire others. You are analytical and result-oriented with excellent communication and presentation skills.

As well, you are fluent in both written and spoken English.

 

About the Department

Corporate Procurement is the Centre of Excellence for procurement in Novo Nordisk. We are responsible for the global procurement strategy, processes, and systems. We negotiate contracts covering more than DKK 80 billion of Novo Nordisk’s spend. Global Procurement has 500 employees around the world with the largest hubs in Denmark, India and the US.

A key enabler for taking Procurement to the next level will be to leverage holistic insights to drive value in and from procurement. The Advanced Analytics team is responsible for driving this journey.
