The position

As Senior Inventory Analyst you will have many different responsibilities in relation to setting and managing inventories for all products and product groups in Novo Nordisk from raw materials to finished products. You will be engaging with both purchasing, production and commercial organisation within inventory optimisation.

 

Novo Nordisk is a large company, and you will need to be able to create overviews and perform analysis while maintaining the bigger picture. This means you will be able to handle details and complexities without losing the overall perspective.

 

You will be the technical lead within inventory planning on a more aggregate level, calculating inventories, make scenarios and discuss impact from scenarios with stakeholders. You will be a subject matter expert on inventory calculations and continuously improve inventory models used for inventory planning.

 

Novo Nordisk is currently rolling out a new advanced planning solution and you will join the project team to get thorough introduction to the system, capabilities and get a deep understanding of the functionalities.

 

As part of an international team, your roles will be:

  • Inventory Deployment – from decisions and strategies
  • Be inventory Subject Matter Expert
  • Performa analysis on inventories across different parts of the supply chain
  • Ensure the organisation has an inventory overview across the entire supply chain
  • Inventory Performance monitoring
  • Continuously develop inventory models
  • Drive innovation in inventory modelling
  • Participate in projects

 

There will be a broad interaction across many different areas and departments in supply chain and production in Novo Nordisk, where stakeholder engagement will be important for success.

 

Qualifications 

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or similar.
  • Between 4-7 years’ experience within production planning or inventory planning
  • Understanding of inventory models and inventory mechanisms
  • Knowledge in relevant productions planning solutions
  • Communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in advanced planning systems (ideally OMP, otherwise Kinaxis)

 

As a person you are a dynamic team player, who thrives working in a high paced team with a positive engaging atmosphere. You have strong communication and collaboration skills. A natural interest in details but able to go to higher levels when consolidating information and presenting. Lastly, you listen and respect the opinion of others while being able to deliver clear and concise messages.

 

About the department 

You will join a highly dedicated team with the responsibility of transforming the way that we do planning across our global network. We have an end-to-end focus from demand planning at affiliate level to the long-term and tactical S&OP horizon and further down to the operational production- and purchase planning. The project team is a large international and diverse team, with highly competent and engaged colleagues, and we have a global reach and engage with stakeholders across the Novo Nordisk supply chain.
