Senior IT Architect - Endpoint Management

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior IT Architect with extensive experience in Microsoft Endpoint management technologies and device hardware. With your expertise you will be part of the continuous development, building and operation of our Endpoint Management platform for our widespread network of more than 55.000 globally dispersed Windows 10/11 endpoints. 

 

The position

As our new Senior IT Architect you will be expected to be a subject matter expert who can contribute to all activities related to our continuous development and operational activities to provide a world class solution for our users. You will be expected to share the team’s focus on ensuring technical maturity and operational excellence of the solutions we build and maintain.

Given your seniority, senior management and your colleagues will also expect of you to provide best practice recommendations and you will be a core part of deciding which direction our Product will take. You will be expected to collaborate and seek compromises with other senior architects in the team, the Product Owner and other relevant IT areas such as IT Security on a continuous basis.

Responsibilities of the position:

  • Acting as a track lead and architect on development activities, ensuring the developed solutions are fit for purpose and delivered according to best practices
  • Staying informed on industry trends and assess new products and technologies and their value for the business
  • Collaborate on - and contribute to - the roadmap of the Product
  • Ensure what we develop can be operated by our third-party operations vendor
  • Ensure what we develop can interoperate with the other components in the Novo Nordisk infrastructure stack
  • Participate in creating business cases, when needed, as part of funding process for new initiatives
  • Mentor less experienced colleagues to ensure that they develop their capabilities for the betterment of the team and Novo Nordisk
  • Drive the selection of the endpoint hardware we should provide to the business
  • Be the technical Novo Nordisk contact towards our hardware vendor
  • Participate in vendor management together with our Service Manager(s) as required
  • Write documentation, as needed, to satisfy requirements in our Quality Management System
  • Participate in the core Product Management group for the product together with other architects and the Product Owner
  • Assist in troubleshooting and problem solving on complex problems as required

 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, we believe that you should have:

  • Bachelor or master’s degree within science, engineering, IT, technology, or the like
  • Subject Matter Expert level (10+ years) experience with Microsoft’s Endpoint management and deployment technologies (past and present)
  • Subject Matter Export level (10+ years) experience with managing Windows 7/10/11 endpoints
  • Senior experience level with managing Windows 10 Enterprise and Windows 10 LTSC in large enterprise environments
  • Senior experience level with solution design and DevOps within Endpoint management
  • A proven track record in leading development activities that have transitioned your previous employers / client engagements towards the cloud within the Endpoint   Management area
  • High knowledge of network infrastructure and it-security will be considered an asset
  • Experience with moving Endpoint management towards Zero Trust
  • Experience with supporting technologies such as Conditional Access, Active Directory and Azure Active Directory and how these influence endpoint management

About the teams you will be working in

You will be part of DD&IT in Novo Nordisk, with more than +1.500 colleagues around the world. You will work in DD&IT’s Global IT Operations unit where you will be part of the Digital Workplace. You will report to a Danish People Leader which leads the Danish anchored team of 14 dedicated people. Your day-to-day work will happen in the Product team which collaborates virtually with team members from the Americas, Europe, and Asia. We work within CET time zone, and fixed hours is 9 am to 5 pm CET. Some flexibility will be expected when meetings are required outside fixed hours. The position can be applied to by applicants globally with possibility of re-locating to Denmark. We are a virtual team, and the right candidate can work remotely willing to work within fixed hours 9 am – 3 pm CET time zone.

In Digital Workplace you will contribute to changing how Novo Nordisk employees work, collaborate and communicate. We are responsible for Microsoft 365 Platforms, Novo Nordisk Meeting technologies, Computing and Mobile platforms and devices. Together we focus on how to build a great digital workplace while ensuring stable and secure operations.

Based on the SAFE agile framework, you will be part of our agile setup and work in a global agile team with responsibility for the computing devices and print services.
