Your new role

To meet the need of our expanding future product pipeline, CMC Pilots will operate new pilot facilities in Bagsværd. You will be responsible for the validation of automated CIP (Cleaning In Place) equipment, processes, and procedures. Working across facilities, covering fermentation and recovery, you will gain valuable experience in major investment projects, cleaning strategies, and validation activities.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Defining and ensuring compliance with cleaning strategies for the facilities
• Setting directions for equipment cleaning in our new facilities and developing fully automated cleaning equipment
• Preparing, planning, executing and reporting cleaning validations
• Delivering input to functional specifications for automation
• Running in and performance verification of CIP equipment
• Testing and validating novel in-line analytical methods with potential to benefit across Novo Nordisk production sites

You will succeed in this role by being visible and proactive while working independently. With your solid process understanding, you build strong relationships with stakeholders in the project organisation, external suppliers, QA, and colleagues across CMC API Pilots and Novo Nordisk.

Your skills & qualifications

We are looking for a goal-oriented and communicative colleague who thrives in a rapidly growing environment. You will bring with you:

• M.Sc. degree in science or engineering combined with several years of cleaning and production experience - preferably from pharma/biotech.
• +5 years of experience with cleaning validation of equipment, e.g. CIP.
• Experience with project planning of equipment qualification and validation
• Ability to plan and complete tasks in accordance with GMP.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Your new department

CMC Product & Process Development's role in Novo Nordisk's value chain is to turn molecules into approved products in close cooperation with our colleagues in R&D and Product Supply.

The CMC Pilots Engineering department is organised within CMC Pilots that manufacture and control new drug substance candidates for the development portfolio of Novo Nordisk. We are more than 70 employees, responsible for completing major investment projects to expand our API production capacity for new pharmaceutical candidates for clinical trials.
