We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior DCS IT Solution Manager to join our competent team of DCS IT Solution Managers to shape the future of pharma manufacturing. This is an attractive opportunity to combine operational and project-related work in the role as Senior DCS IT Solution Manager in Chemistry, Manufacturing & Control (CMC) Pilots Business Support.

 

Your new role

You will be part of a group with responsibility for our brand new 800xA system, which supports the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) production in our Pilot factories in Bagsværd. You will play a pivotal role in keeping the 800xA system operational and in compliance with Novo Nordisk requirements and thereby requirements from health authorities. You will be part of system upgrades as well as everyday operation and compliance tasks.

 

Stable and efficient automation systems are essential for us, in order, to develop and deliver new products to our patients. In this role your responsibilities will be:

 

  • System Management (e.g., Manage Users, Configuration, Changes, Risks, Incidents)
  • Process application code changes (e.g. update of Functional Specifications, Code review, Programming, Testing)
  • Troubleshooting and Diagnostics on the system and process application code
  • IT Security management (e.g., system hardening, patches, and anti-malware)
  • Continuity management (e.g., Monitoring of backups, Recovery) 
  • Life Cycle Management (e.g., system upgrades, hardware upgrades)

 

You will update or develop system design documents (e.g., Functional Specification, Design Specification), Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and guidelines for the system operational processes. Furthermore, you will work with Incident and Deviation Management and preparation of Change Requests. You will also perform annual User and Configuration Reviews as well as annual System Evaluations. You will also do changes to the process application code to support process improvements and optimisations.

 

Your skills and qualifications

You have a great passion for working with DCS and IT system management and a natural curiosity for optimisations and opportunities. To succeed in the role, you have:

 

  • A BSc or MSc within Engineering, Computer Science, or another relevant field
  • Knowledge of Process Control and associated documentation e.g. PID’s, control strategies, S88  
  • Knowledge of server and IT infrastructure management e.g., patching, performance monitoring, network setup

 

In this role you will work with the 800xA technology; hence it will be an advantage if you have experience with the 800xA technology or other equivalent DCS technologies.

 

Our work is performed according to GMP; hence it is expected that you possess a systematic approach to your tasks which you can plan and finalise. It is important that you ensure and initiate tasks even if they have not been assigned to you, and we expect you to take responsibility for your own and the team's goals.

Your new area

CMC Development's role in Novo Nordisk's value chain is to turn molecules into approved products in close cooperation with our colleagues in R&ED, Development and Global Manufacturing and Supply.  

As part of CMC Development organisation, CMC Pilots is the preferred partner for Drug Product and API production supporting clinical trials, enabling product development, and ensuring smooth process transfer to commercial production.

 

In the IT Operation - DCS team we work with implementing large- and small-scale automation solutions, ensuring stable and efficient operation of our DCS systems, keeping the systems in compliance, and ensuring data availability in our 6 Pilot factories. The team consists of 12 highly competent DCS IT Solution Managers and Automation Engineers, working across different DCS technologies.

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 651,000 to 956.900, corresponding to the level of the position. The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.


Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
