The position
As Senior Corporate Counsel, you will advise on legal matters pertinent to our Clinical, Medical, and  Regulatory teams in our headquarters. 

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • being a trusted legal advisor and provide impactful legal advice to our Clinical, Medical, and Regulatory colleagues working within cardiovascular diseases, 
  • act as our team’s lead on legal strategies, processes, templates, and trainings related to clinical outsourcing management
  • proactively drive global processes and initiatives, including developing proactive guidelines and tools to help navigate complex legal and compliance matters for the above teams,
  • communicate and train colleagues in Development and in our international legal organisation to ensure compliance with the legal strategies and processes, and 
  • developing innovative legal solutions to new and challenging issues in a changing environment.

You will work in cross functional teams and advise in collaboration with legal and compliance colleagues from our international operations and be responsible for our engagement with external counsels and third parties. You will have independent responsibility for key tasks but also work together with the lawyers in the Pharma Law team and abroad.  

The workplaces will be in Bagsværd, with regular visits to Søborg, both located in the Capital Region of Denmark. As part of the Global Legal organisation, you would also be involved with cross-functional Global Legal projects.

Qualifications            
To succeed in this role, you hold a Law degree and have 6+ years of experience from a major law firm or working in an in-house legal department in a pharmaceutical company, clinical research organization or similar. 

Other success criteria are: 

  • It is an advantage to have experience in advising on legal and compliance matters relating to the pharmaceutical industry, in particular in relation to clinical trials, scientific exchange, regulatory matters, data protection and pharmaceutical advertising laws
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic approach to risk management and prioritization
  • Strategic thinking and ability to lead and set direction in a complex global stakeholder landscape
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English 

On a personal level, you are a team player, curious, solution-oriented, and have a positive “can-do” attitude, which enables you to establish strong professional relationships internally and externally. In addition, you have attention to detail combined with the ability to prioritize and multi-task. 

 

About the department
You will be a key part of the high performing, dynamic, fun, and international Pharma Law Development team currently consisting of 8 lawyers who are all legal business partners to Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, and Regulatory. The Pharma Law Development team is headed up by Director, Karoline Enodden.

The team is part of the Pharma Law team in Global Legal, Intellectual Property & Security (GLIPS), located in Novo Nordisk’s headquarters in Bagsværd, Denmark. GLIPS consists of more than 450 colleagues situated at +40 locations around the world.
