Senior Communication Manager

Are you passionate about driving strategic communication initiatives to support business priorities? We seek a Senior Communication Manager to lead impactful communication projects in close collaboration with colleagues in People & Organisation (P&O) and across Novo Nordisk and drive engaging strategic content for our internal channels in P&O.
The position
As part of the communication team in P&O, you will manage diverse tasks and cross-organisational projects and collaborate with skilled colleagues within the P&O area and across Novo Nordisk. You will work with multiple communication disciplines and will be responsible for planning and developing strategic communication and creative content to support agendas and business needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Proactively plan and execute communication activities to meet business needs.
- Oversee and create content for our internal communication channels such as intranet (Sharepoint), newsletters, livestreams and townhall meetings.
- Drive and advise on strategic communication projects in P&O, coordinating timelines, resources, and stakeholders to ensure successful execution and alignment with organisational objectives.
- Organise and run events, develop and manage agendas and content, and ensure the seamless execution of events aligned with our communication objectives.
- Drive change communication initiatives, ensuring clear, timely, and effective communication to facilitate smooth transitions during organisational changes
- Continuously develop our digital communication platforms and formats.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess a relevant degree in communication, journalism or similar and have:
- Five or more years of experience in a similar communications role from pharma, agency, consultancy, journalism or another large organisation.
- Project management skills.
- Excellent planning and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in both written and verbal English is essential.
- Graphic design experience and associated software knowledge (e.g. Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) will be advantageous.
We’re seeking a person with a structured, strategic mindset, a keen eye for detail, and a creative, tech-savvy, and visually-oriented approach. You are self-driven, taking full responsibility for your tasks while demonstrating good listening skills to understand business needs. Proven communication skills, an interest in building networks, and a collaborative mindset are crucial for successful stakeholder engagement within the organisation.
About the department
You will be part of the communication team in P&O. We’re a team of six dedicated communication professionals, and as part of the Executive Office in P&O, you’ll also have several other close colleagues in the broader team. We are involved in many exciting projects, and we are a busy team, but we also prioritise time for having fun together. In addition to driving the communication across the area we also support the Executive Vice President for P&O in Novo Nordisk.
