What you will be doing?

Our new Senior Cloud developer will become part of our AWS platforms team. The team consists of members from Denmark, US and India and is responsible for architecting, developing, improving, and operating the AWS cloud Platform and cloud native AWS services. We perform process automation for our customers (business areas) who want to use cloud services and we identify areas for improvement by means of automation.

The team includes cloud automation engineers, cloud infrastructure architects and operational specialists.

 

You will help provides support to all areas of Novo Nordisk that have workloads in the AWS cloud platform, which is one of our two strategic cloud platforms next to Azure. The team is responsible for ensuring a stable and efficient operational set-up with automated deployment, test, and monitoring. Some exciting things you will get to work on include:

 

  • Designing, developing, and improving our AWS cloud platform and cloud-native services to support our research initiatives, office sites, and production facilities worldwide
  • Taking part of driving an automation agenda across our cloud organisation and our Automation Community of Practise (CoP) and spare with a lot of highly technically skilled people in the department
  • Being responsible for the automation of key processes by means of coding in the areas of policy enforcement, deployment of infrastructure as code, account handling, identity and access management, tool development and connectivity with maintainability and compliance in mind.
  • Participating in the automation of key processes into delivery pipelines that build our cloud infrastructure and ultimately make sure the services we provide to the business are secure and compliant
  • Engage with different stakeholders in Novo Nordisk to broaden the understanding of cloud tooling and identify automation opportunities

 

The position is based in Ballerup, Denmark.

 

Do you have what it takes?

As a Senior Cloud Engineer you will be responsible for designing and developing cloud infrastructure, solutions and services. You will need to analyse current processes, and lead testing activities within development and integration activities.

Your technology toolbox should contain some of these: Python/TypeScript /Java/Node/C#/Go for automation or integration with multiple APIs (REST, etc.).

 

To perform strongly in this role, you preferably have competence and skills within the following:
 

  • Bachelor’s or Master Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • Strong ability to automate pipelines and repeating workflows.
  • Excellent software design, problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Preferably experience with application security, oAuth2/oID.
  • Experience with Agile and test-driven development (unit test, mocks, integration test), test automation.

The team you will be joining is part of the global department Cloud & Corporate Infrastructure (C&CI), within Global IT Operations. The Danish department consists of 19 highly skilled cloud architects, engineers, and automation professionals, who possess strong technical platform skills and solid business understanding. The agile teams are global and hold team members from US, Denmark, and India. All teams work closely with numerous business stakeholders and our colleagues in Digital, Data & IT.
