The position
As a Senior Category Manager for Facilities, you will mainly focus on providing strategic leadership within the Hard FM (repair and maintenance) categories with an initial focus in the Danish market but aiming at developing the category to regional/global level.

You will be responsible for: 

  • Developing and defining category strategies that are aligned with key stakeholders and company targets
  • Identifying and executing on local and regional strategic category opportunities including driving complex sourcing projects – from ideation to awarding and implementation
  • Owning customer relations – actively working to secure procurement involvement in sourcing activities, and turning Procurement into a trusted partner to the organization by clearly adding value and ensuring business needs are understood and met
  • Managing supplier relationship - including supplier segmentation and strategy development and execution of planned activities
  • Business development and change management - engaging with users in the business to develop and quantify ideas for new projects, substitution, or value-adding activities that generate benefits and savings to the organization

It is also your responsibility to coach and guide colleagues and take a proactive role in the continuous development of the department and our team.

Qualifications
As a successful candidate, you hold a Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in, e.g. Business Administration, Engineering, Law, Supply Chain Management or similar complemented with plus 6 years of relevant experience within the Hard FM (repair and maintenance) procurement category, or other categories.

Other success criteria are: 

  • Proven track record in successfully developing and implementing Hard FM category strategies within complex organizations that resulted in improvements to operations
  • Extensive experience within the Hard FM supplier landscape in Denmark but also in an international context
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and conflict management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Native speaker in Danish and English

On a personal level, you are a team player that brings a positive and constructive attitude and mindset to work, who proactively engages in constructive feedback and knowledge sharing and has a solution-oriented approach.

You have a strategic mindset and use data to drive evidence-based decision-making, complete high-quality complex analyses, and draw strong recommendations. In addition, you are goal-oriented and can create your own projects and deliver results independently. We also expect you to be curious and understand the value chain in a large organisation. Finally, you have excellent presentation skills and can communicate at all levels of the organisation.

 

About the department
Corporate Procurement is anchored within Global Solutions area which reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Novo Nordisk. In addition, we build strategies and execute improvement projects to optimize the global indirect spend of DKK +50 billion related to, e.g., Facility Management, R&D activities, Marketing services, Travel, Professional Advisory Services, and IT.
