The position

Your main responsibilities will be to drive global category management, fully aligned with global key stakeholders and business requirements.

As part of your role you will:

  • Ensure that best market practices and technologies are reflected in the continuous development and monitoring of the category
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers, fostering strong partnerships and drive supplier performance
  • Advance the internal communication and awareness about the category services
  • Developing and mentor less experienced Sourcing and Category Managers to enhance their skills and capabilities

 

You will report to the Director of Travel, Fleet & Event in Corporate Procurement.

 

The position is based in Novo Nordisk HQ in Denmark.

 

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you have a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, and have 5-7 years of relevant experience working with category management and procurement within Travel and Fleet categories.

Other success criteria are:

  • Preferably international experience in a global organisation
  • Expertise in developing impactful category strategies and negotiations
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluency in English, both written and orally

 

On a personal level, you have a strategic and innovative mindset, are self-driven and can deliver results both independently and with the team. We expect you to be curious and to have structured problem-solving skills and to be able to see the bigger picture. Additionally, your strong interpersonal skills enable you to engage with and influence stakeholders at all levels, showing eagerness and authenticity.

 

Furthermore, you are comfortable using data to drive evidence-based decision-making, completing high-quality complex analysis, and making strong recommendations.

 

About the department

Corporate Procurement is Novo Nordisk’s centre of excellence for category strategies, supplier agreements, and purchasing processes. The Corporate Procurement department builds strategies and executes improvement projects to optimize the global indirect spend related to facility management, R&D activities, marketing services, travel & fleet, professional advisory services, and IT. The team size is approximately 180 employees in Denmark and 2 indirect reporting teams of approximately 150 employees in Global Business Services in India.
