The position
As Senior Capability Building Partner, you will be a driving force in building our internal capability center focused on designing and implementing people development initiatives to improve employee skills, knowledge and expertise. You will play a key role in developing and strengthening the portfolio of initiatives, ensuring existing processes and frameworks are up to date and continuously developed, and identifying new opportunities in line with the department’s strategic goals. 


Key responsibilities in the role include:

  • Having a leading role in developing and implementing a comprehensive capability building strategy aligned with Procurement's long-term goals, including the development and maintenance of a global procurement academy and talent management program based on existing competency framework and 70-20-10 model
  • Developing and managing high-impact training content, leveraging a wide range of digital tools and technologies
  • Maintaining and developing strategic procurement frameworks and policies to govern the direction of the teams e.g. how to develop category strategies, House in Order (Procurement policy), Preferred Supplier Program etc.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness and impact of training programs on employee performance, recommending improvements and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify gaps and further professionalize training programs
  • Coordinating and facilitating training sessions, workshops, and other learning opportunities to enhance employee skills and knowledge in close collaboration with our global procurement peers.

 

You will collaborate with numerous stakeholders at various levels of the organization, both within Corporate Procurement and across Novo Nordisk. 

 

You will be reporting to the Head of Vendor Alliances and Capability Building. 

 

Qualifications
Our ideal candidate holds a relevant educational degree minimum at Bachelor level in Supply Chain, Business Administration, HR, Economics etc., and has around 6-8 years of relevant working experience within Learning & Development/Capability Building. 


Other success criteria are:

  • Strong procurement understanding and experience preferably from a large global organization, and knowledge in rolling-out core Procurement concepts being a strong advantage
  • Experience in developing Capability Building strategies 
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with shared service centers is an advantage
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

 

On a personal level, you have exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with ability to work with people at different levels in the organization and in an international context.
