About this role

As our activities within MDA are growing, we are looking for a Scrum Master to facilitate our agile events, coach and support the MDA team. As a Scrum master you will manage and drive agile processes efficiently, and work both independently and in close collaboration with ART members and stakeholders to ensure prioritization and management of backlogs.

Your key tasks will include:

  • Driving continuous improvement in the team as well as dealing with impediments
  • Working tirelessly towards creating an inspiring learning culture where learnings are shared with other agile teams
  • Coaching and educating team members in SAFe methodology as well as agile principles and values to ensure they’re equipped with the right knowledge, tools and training to reach their maximum potential
  • Acting as a guardian who protects team members from external interference
  • Ensuring a smooth communication flow while acting as a role model of Agile ways of working and ensure a healthy, engaging, inclusive work environment
  • Empowering people, pushing responsibilities to team members and challenging the status quo as well as inspiring people in the team by leaning in

 

Skills we are looking for

As an ideal candidate you have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree within Business, IT or another relevant field
  • Solid experience of working with Agile methodology, principles and values
  • SAFe certification and/or have a few years Scrum Master or agile experience along with good knowledge of SAFe/Agile principles and mindset
  • Experience with backlog management, tools and prioritization techniques
  • Practical experience in training, coaching and mentoring people towards an Agile mindset along with thorough understanding of team dynamics and facilitation
  • Capability of handling a co-located team, and teams working across different time zones as well as knowledge of building a learning culture in large organizations

 

On a personal level you are an excellent communicator and facilitator of team dynamics who can navigate in a complex stakeholder environment, delegate and empower others to act, promote a strong feedback culture and provide constructive feedback.

You are empathetic and a strong relationship builder with a great talent to handling conflicts and building trust. Besides, you have a flair for preparing and facilitating events for the team including stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos, and create an environment of openness, respect and honesty.

 

What team to join

Digital, Data and IT (DD&IT), within the Global IT Organization, is a unit responsible for more than 40 global IT systems at Novo Nordisk including the operation, maintenance, support and development of these systems. The systems are used on a global scale by all areas of the business from R&D to Sales and are critical to the execution of key business processes such as development, manufacturing, sales, finance, etc. The strategic objective of the unit is to be the IT partner for the business ensuring that we provide the IT solutions and support which is needed to support the Novo Nordisk production solution as well as supply chain needs worldwide.

DD&IT PS Supply Chain is a global organization that includes approx. 100 employees based mainly in Denmark and India. We started our agile journey in 2019 and are now organized in two ARTs divided into a total of 18 agile teams covering the whole IT supply chain value steam.
