Then apply now, as you might be the Risk Management Advisor we are looking for to join our Risk & Supplier Sustainability team acting as a center of excellence towards the central sourcing units Global Strategic Outsourcing & Devices and Strategic Sourcing Inbound Materials & Services. 

 

The position 

One of our current top priorities across Global Strategic Outsourcing & Devices and Strategic Sourcing Inbound Materials & Services is to further strengthen our focus on strategic risk mitigation across our core responsibilities for strategy, sourcing and contract management of our global external supply network. We are driven by minimizing risk of structural supply disruptions and applying strategic thinking in the context of geopolitical risk, climate change, and other current risk drivers. 

As a Risk Management Advisor, you will work closely with your colleagues in a dedicated Risk and Supplier Sustainability specialist team of 7 people, who together are setting the direction for the sourcing units’ work with suppliers on the Risk and Sustainability agenda. You will be supporting stakeholders in category management departments across our units to identify, assess, mitigate, and report on structural risks related to our upstream supply chain.  

 

Depending on your skills and preferences you may expect to be involved in: 

  • Lead the responsibility for our central supplier risk assessment tool to ensure continuous improvement and linking to relevant data points 

  • Integrate new relevant risk management data platforms related to e.g. sub-tier mapping and climate change risks by embedding in relevant sourcing processes 

  • Establish our position on primary sourcing risk drivers and provide sparring to category managers on how to best mitigate the risks 

  • Conduct analysis and project management tasks related to strategic sourcing risk management 

  • Develop various training and communication materials for internal and external use 

 

You can expect to work with a diverse set of stakeholders across sourcing units, suppliers/CMOs, and corporate functions. 

 

Qualifications 

To be considered for this position, we expect you to: 

  • Hold a master’s degree in supply chain, procurement, business, engineering or any other related field 

  • Have relevant experience from working with risk management or procurement project management, supply chain or business development in an international organization or a consulting company  

  • Have a flair for data/systems and possess analytical skills 

  • Be fluent in English, both written and spoken

About the department 

The department is anchored in the central global outsourcing and strategic sourcing units in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division. We are responsible for ensuring that we have suppliers in place that can support Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production. Through collaboration with our global suppliers, we ensure availability of the supply needed to develop and produce products that help millions of people around the world to live with serious chronic diseases. 

You will be part of the Risk & Supplier Sustainability team within the Strategic Sourcing Inbound Materials & Services department, where we drive cross-units initiatives, define best practice by learning from stakeholders in- and outside Novo Nordisk, and contribute with value-adding specialist knowledge acting as center of excellence to the other departments. You will enter a thorough, yet fast-paced and ambitious environment, where we collaborate closely with stakeholders inside and outside the department. You will initially be located in Bagsværd, Denmark, and from ultimo 2024 in Høje Taastrup, Denmark.
