The position
Our overall ambition is to create impact through Finance Partnering with our stakeholders by combining strong financial competencies with a solid understanding of the business in which we operate. To do this, we collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organisation. In this position, you will support R&D Finance on various financial processes and systems.
As a Student Assistant in R&D Finance, your responsibilities will vary throughout the year per our annual wheel and include tasks such as:
- Managing financial systems, including stakeholder training
- Supporting financial planning and reporting
- Assisting in the preparation of presentations for stakeholders
- Driving own smaller initiatives, such as process optimization
- Supporting the creation and maintenance of Business Intelligence dashboards
- Completing ad-hoc tasks across the team
As you grow in your role, you will have the opportunity to become a dedicated Finance Partner to a smaller area of the Development organization.
This position is designed for 15-20 hours/week, primarily working from our Bagsværd office, and will be flexible around your exam schedule.
Qualifications
We are seeking candidates who are enrolled in a Master’s program or are in the final stages of completing their Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Skilled in MS Excel and PowerPoint as a minimum; experience with other tools/systems such as Power BI and SAP is an advantage
- Proficient in English at a professional level, both spoken and written, as you will be engaging with colleagues across the global finance organization
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members and stakeholders
- Passionate about working at Novo Nordisk in Development Finance and committed to driving change for patients with chronic diseases

About the department
R&D Finance is part of Novo Nordisk Business Finance and is responsible for the financial management of the R&D organisation as well as clinical and digital projects in our pipeline. When joining R&D Finance, you will be part of our dynamic and ambitious team, consisting of around 20 Finance Partner CD1, Finance Graduates, and Student Assistants as well as colleagues in India and the United States of America.
The atmosphere in the R&D Finance team is informal and builds on a strong team spirit. We invest significant resources in developing our employees through close sparring, frequent feedback, and giving inspiring tasks and a high degree of responsibility. We aim to continuously improve our ways of working to ensure that we focus on the right matters and that Development Finance continues to be a great place to work.
