The position

As Project Portfolio Manager you will be the responsible for our Portfolio which involves the digital portfolio tool, portfolio data and all related reporting and visualization. You will be responsible for overseeing progress of the entire portfolio and ensure optimal running of the portfolio.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Monitor performance, identify risks, and monitor incoming projects and needed resources
  • Deliver and present reports and status to senior management and acting as a trusted advisor for data and reporting
  • Review data, cleaning and correcting mistakes in data reports. Furthermore, questioning the data shown in the different tools at all time to ensure correct data and high quality of reports
  • Optimize how we work with the portfolio tool. Furthermore, continuously drive how we improve behaviour around the portfolio and a high performing portfolio

In this position you will develop and maintain relationships within our organization and with our stakeholders. You will be heading up a forum across our production sites to ensure our portfolio keeps being value-adding to the organization which require alignment and coordination to ensure we continuously experiment and optimize the way we work with projects and reporting in IFP. Furthermore, you will have the role as coordinator of incoming compliance projects and the coherent process.

 

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with practical knowledge of how to drive a project portfolio and who thrives in an ever-changing environment while keeping the high quality of their work. To succeed in this role, you have:

  • A MSc Degree or equivalent within engineering/Chemistry/Pharmacy/Business or similar field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience within project management, preferably by being portfolio manager
  • Experience working with Alteryx and knowledge about Microsoft Power Apps and Microsoft Automate is an advantage
  • Experience with cLEAN® and analytical skills
  • Professional proficiency in English

On a personal level, you are a team player with a great ability to collaborate with many different stakeholders in a global environment. You work independently and have a high degree of personal drive to navigate divergent agendas from high level stakeholders. 

Moreover, you have a “can-do” attitude and believe that no challenges are too big or too small to handle. You have excellent communication skills, can navigate complex governance and many stakeholders on all organizational levels. You use analytical approach and have solid negotiation and diplomatic skills. Furthermore, you are a dedicated professional who is eager to learn and develop new skills.

 

About the department

We are Platforms & Processes, who are a newly established organizational unit called Asset Management & Platform Performance (AMPP). With almost 100 colleagues, we play a key role in accelerating a major transformation to improve performance across a global network of factories in Asia, Europe as well as North and South America to meet the need of the increasing number of people living with diabetes and obesity. AMPP is an organizational unit in Injectable Finished Products (IFP), which is the largest production area in Novo Nordisk.
