Your new role

As Product Owner within the POCA Digital Solutions , you will own the end‑to‑end delivery and operational support of critical systems, primarily focusing on business critical Health & Safety IT systems such as Digital Permits, Operational Risk system, on site training systems and also supporting wider HR IT systems as and when required Working closely with Product Managers, technical teams and site stakeholders, you will translate complex business and safety requirements into usable digital solutions that ensure compliance, continuity and measurable value across sites and functions.

 

Some of your responsibilities will be:

  • Co‑create and align the product vision and roadmaps, primarily for Digital Permitting & Operational Risk while also supporting the broader HR Digital Products when required
  • Manage the team backlog to balance short  and long term priorities and translate Health & Safety processes into functional setups, workflows and configurations for site safety capabilities (Permit to Work, Isolations, LOTO, Audits and Inspections), ensuring compliance with relevant frameworks (e.g., ISO 45001/14001).
  • Act as single point of contact for incidents, releases and integrations: coordinate troubleshooting, fixes and deployments with vendors, IT and site operations to maintain system performance and data flows, with the support of the technical team
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and delivery teams to craft clear features and user stories, prioritise work based on customer value and dependencies, and drive testing, validation and documentation.
  • Drive adoption and value realisation by providing user support, training, feedback loops and by measuring outcomes against Definitions of Ready/Done and agreed success metrics.

 

Your Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with the following qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science/IT or related field, with experience working in matrix and agile IT environments.
  • 8+ years’ hands‑on experience with Health & Safety digital platforms, including implementations, configurations and upgrades.
  • Proven technical expertise with major H&S systems (e.g., Enablon, Cority, Sphera, Quentic), including managing software vendors and leading configuration/upgrades.
  • Deep experience in H&S data handling and governance to support compliance, integrations/APIs, safety KPI/dashboarding and management of compliance‑sensitive IT risks (including GDPR).
  • Strong H&S domain knowledge in pharma (preferable), focused on Permit to Work, incident management, audits & inspections, risk assessment, MOC, chemical and environmental management.
  • Excellent communicator able to bridge business and technical language, with awareness of HR IT systems and potential synergies between HR and H&S data.

 

 

As a person, you are customer‑focused and curious, able to turn user needs into practical digital solutions. You combine strategic vision with a hands‑on approach, communicating clearly to align technical and business stakeholders. Comfortable with Agile and traditional delivery, you prioritise by value, drive continuous improvement and use data to inform decisions.
