About the department

This role will be part of the Global Information and Analysis department (GLIA), where you will join 20 dedicated colleagues offering a worldwide information service function to headquarters and affiliates. Our purpose is to provide digital solutions to the organisation and ensure that internal customers have easy and global access to quality information sources and professional information research services supporting their needs. The position offers you a unique combination of science and information research.


The position

As a Principal Information Research Scientist, your primary function will be:

  • providing global cross-organisational support spanning from early drug discovery and research technologies within obesity and related research fields.
  • Driving data analysis and visualisation; project management; surveillance of patents, medical and scientific literature; ad hoc information searches; tailoring of scientific alerts; literature analyses and structured presentation of scientific information. In our team, we work mainly with textual data.
  • Leading the engagement with the scientific parts of GLIA projects in collaboration with other members of the team.
  • Based in Bagsvaerd, with attendance at other global Novo Nordisk sites as well, especially in Maaloev.




To qualify for the position, you will:

  • Have a strong life science background with solid IT qualifications:
  • Hold a degree (preferably Ph.D) within medical, engineering, biomedical, pharmaceutical, or biological sciences accompanied by experience with data analysis, scientific writing, and project management.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with analytical tools and software (eg. I2E, SciBite, Spotfire and Qlik)
  • Possess some experience within the Medical Device area.
  • Novo Nordisk business understanding and knowledge about Novo Nordisk therapeutic products will be an advantage.
