The Position
Based on your technical knowledge, you help to ensure stable operation. Our work is carried out in accordance with GMP, and a systematic approach to problem solving is expected. It is possible for you to be involved in cross-organizational tasks, where you will be able to influence processes across a larger organizational area.
As our Engineer/ Cleaning Pilot Scientist you will be responsible planning and reporting cleaning activities before, during and after production campaigns in our pilot facility.
- You will be planning and ensuring execution of cleaning activities of process equipment
- You will be preparing protocols and reports in connection with clean hold time studies, ongoing monitoring, and cleaning verification of process equipment in our new established purification pilot facility
- Dependent on your experience and knowledge you will also design washing processes when new process equipment is implemented as well as identification of improvements and implementation of these
- Work in close collaboration with other cleaning scientists in the department
In the department, we work with LEAN, and you must be able to thrive in a daily routine characterized by improvement projects and changes, as well as have a solution-oriented approach. You succeed by being visible, creating good cooperation with your colleagues in the facility, and by having a go-look-see approach in your support to the facility. You will work closely with several pilot scientists and technicians in two purification pilots, chemical modification pilot and a freeze/spray drying pilot.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you have:
- A master’s degree in engineering, microbiology, biochemistry, pharma or similar
- Experience with cleaning verification and monitoring activities in connection with production
- GMP experience
- A technical interest and preferably knowledge of various process equipment
Fluent English and communicative Danish or a willingness to learn would be desirable. You will be working closely with various professional groups, so good collaboration and communication -skills and being a team player is essential. You like to take on tasks, even when they are not laid out in front of you. You must be able to handle several tasks in parallel and maintain an overview in pressured situations. You have assertiveness and take pride in driving and completing tasks within given deadlines.
About the Department
We are 85 employees in the department, distributed among 5 teams and four pilot facilities. Our task is to scale up processes to produce drug substances for toxicological and clinical studies. Our mission is to develop robust and reliable processes for the entire portfolio of drug candidates at Novo Nordisk. We focus on innovation, quality, and efficiency to improve patients' lives.
