The Position
We are looking for a new Pilot Scientist to join our Cultivation CMC Pilot Plant team. We work with mammalian CHO cell cultures with a final volume between 500-1000L in a single use facility. In this role, you will work at the interface between new process development and production scale-up to optimize the production of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients for clinical and development trials.
The responsibilities will include:
- Plan and coordinate production campaigns in a fast-paced environment.
- Manage raw materials and plant utilities.
- Manage cultivation operations in a single-use facility together with skilled process technicians.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to gather and share vital information and support.
- Document and report results on every production campaign.
- Ensure timely execution of production campaigns.
Qualifications
To be successful we expect you to have:
- A Master’s degree in biochemistry, biochemical engineering, fermentation-based manufacturing, biology or chemistry.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) would be considered as advantage.
- Previous experience working in a production environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge about electronic systems is preferred; we work with PAS-X, SAP, Delta-V, LIMS, and others.
- Danish fluency would be an asset.
As a person you are a team player who can collaborate to find solutions to production challenges and an excellent communicator with the ability to reach out to various stakeholders for support. You are comfortable with structuring and planning work with a sound quality mindset. Furthermore, you have excellent communication skills and strong English fluency.

Active-Metadata Information modelling is a key concept in our approach to future data access.
The job is anchored in the CMC Data Foundation and PMO team. Our team consists of highly engaged colleagues with different scientific backgrounds and expertise in digital/automation project management, architecture, information modelling, and process expertise. We use a wide range of technologies based on the needs we want to solve, and we develop solutions for both non-GMP and GMP regulated processes.
