Then you might be our new Negotiator in the eSourcing & Negotiation department in Strategic Sourcing.

About the department
The department is a Centre of Excellence within negotiation and the team drives all key negotiations and contractual processes within Strategic Sourcing together with the category owners. The team is also responsible for negotiation training to the orgranisation.

As a Negotiator you get the opportunity to join an experienced team of 5 negotiators, 2 Corporate Counsels and 2 eSourcing specialists.

The job
As a Negotiator, you will work independently with planning and carrying out negotiations with worldwide suppliers. Together with relevant team across Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division you secure that negotiations are conducted at a professional level and with the best possible result for Novo Nordisk. In the process, you will formulate a clear strategy and articulate the steps to achieve the negotiation objectives, seek adequate mandate, proactively identify solutions to contractual challenges and secure cooperation and involvement from relevant stakeholders. You will get the opportunity to develop your negotiation skills and work on a broad range of contracts with different levels of complexity.


You will impact the supply chain value by being part of optimising contracts and negotiation processes, while taking into consideration long-term strategies, quality, and risk as well as environmental and social aspects. You should expect 5-8 travel days during the year.

You hold a commercial or Legal Master degree and have min 7 years of experience with drafting contracts and conducting negotiations, preferably from a multinational organisation. Previous experience from the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage. You have strong understanding of terms and conditions, as well as interest in developing your negotiations skills to the highest level. You are able to identify contractual risks and suggest potential solutions with input from relevant stakeholders. 


As a person, you are confident navigating in complex and dynamic organizations. You are an outgoing person with a strong individual drive and dedication. As the job requires you to work with internal stakeholders and with global suppliers, we expect you to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build and maintain good work relationships with your stakeholders. Additionally, you thrive in a busy environment and bring a ‘can-do attitude’ and a healthy sense of humour to your work – also when the pressure is on. Lastly, you are fluent in both oral and written English.
