We are growing and have several open opportunities - both permanent and temporary (18-months parental covers) across RAW – Material MSAT (Manufacturing, Science and Technology)
The Position
As a Material Scientist in RAW - Material MSAT you will have the scientific responsibility for supporting Novo Nordisk production lines and stakeholders, by securing high-quality materials, hereby helping millions of patients around the world.
We are looking different profiles with interest and/or expertise within one of the following tracks:
- Excipients, our most regulated material group, supporting both implementation of new supply chains and life cycle management of existing materials.
- Preexisting knowledge of pharmacopeia would be an advantage
- Life cycle management, operational support and process optimization for raw materials.
- Process aids and polymeric single use systems (SUS, systems composed of connectors, sterile filters, bags, hoses etc.) used in our filling facilities. An area with steep increase in demand and complexity across Novo Nordisk
For all roles the primary tasks include:
- Ensuring the right control strategy for the materials by assessing the manufacture and handling of the material that could affect its use in Novo Nordisk.
- Active scientific evaluation of critical cases.
- Competent representation in technical and scientific discussions in projects across the organisation.

We are office-based and currently situated in Bagsværd and will be relocating to Taastrup in January 2026.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position:
- Have a scientific background in engineering, biology, chemistry, or similar at master level or above
- Experience with handling and GMP control of raw materials
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English
- You have strong technical and analytical skills and can use those actively

About the Department
You will join the RAW department within Material MSAT, Sourcing Operations in Product Supply. We are five teams: Raw Material Supply Chains, RAW Processes, Raw Material specifications, Excipients, and Process aids & SUS and together we are responsible for the development, implementation, and management of complex materials (raw materials, excipients, process aids and Single Use Systems) used in production, and we maintain documentation on existing materials.
We cooperate extensively with a broad variety of functions, including Chemistry Manufacturing and Control, QC laboratories, QA, inbound supply, warehouse, various Novo Nordisk production sites, and a range of external suppliers and contract manufactures.
