If so, you could be our new Manager to lead one of the New Product Introduction (NPI) New Products teams in Aseptic Manufacturing Science & Technology (AMSAT). The position is placed in the Drug Product Introduction Sciences Alpha (DPISA) department and has a twin team in our sister department.

 

The Position

As Manager of an NPI New Manufacturing Products team you will be leading 9-10 dedicated and knowledgeable product scientists. The team works in cross-functional project groups but is united to meet team goals and share experience and knowledge. The key work evolves around stability of new products, specification setting and trending, regulatory writing and control strategies, and through this work, the team has a huge impact on the success of future injectable products within Novo Nordisk’s full product portfolio.

 

Your main tasks will be to:

  •  Drive innovation and efficiency within the team, ensuring the prioritizations are clear, strategies are executed, and timelines met.
  • Lead the team, incl. employee engagement, define individual business and behaviour goals, ensure hiring and job training, champion personal and professional development, as well as manage regular follow-up on project task progress.
  • Allocate and manage resources from the team to key development projects.
  • Collaborate with a large internal and external stakeholder landscape to ensure success across the company.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you have:

  •  An academical background in sciences, engineering, pharmacy or similar
  • A solid leadership background within product development, analysis, or pharmaceutical production in aseptic environment
  • An ability to balance short term deliverables with long term focus, prioritizing and creating transparency for your team
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Fluency in English language

 

You enjoy working with people, have excellent people skills, and are always looking for ways to improve and develop your leadership abilities. You inspire and energise your surroundings, set clear and ambitious goals, and generally lead with empathy and behavioural role-modelling.

About the area/department

In Product Supply Aseptic Manufacturing (PS AM), we produce a large portfolio of products fighting serious chronic diseases worldwide.

 

The area New Product Introduction (NPI) is a part of Aseptic Manufacturing Science & Technology (AMSAT), a global support function within PS AM, and consists of approximately 100 employees across 4 departments:

-      Drug Product Introduction Sciences Alpha

-      Drug Product Introduction Sciences Omega

-      Submissions and Reference Materials

-      Scientific Advisory & Development Expertise

 

NPI’s main responsibility is to ensure a smooth transition of development products into large-scale production and market approval. This includes production design, material and process sciences, product stability incl. specification setting and trending, coordination of manufacturing for late-phase clinical trials, upscaling production, process validation activities, and filing for market approval with health authorities.
