Novo Nordisk is seeking an ambitious and empathetic Manager to lead one of the two teams within our newly established Global Transfers Department. This position will play a crucial role in managing and executing global transfer projects for marketed drug products across our production network.

The position
You will be part of a newly established department that is responsible for expanding our global production capacity by transferring products to internal and external production facilities. You will have the responsibility of a team with 6-8 project managers and some scientists. Together with the team you will manage and execute on several transfer projects.
The role requires a strategic thinker with strong management skills and the ability to seek out opportunities for optimization of our transfer processes.

 

Your main task will be to:

  • Manage the people in the team.
  • Support and ensure timely execution of transfer projects.
  • Continuously improve our transfer process.
  • Ensure clear R&R within the department and towards our stakeholders.

 

The success of the department has impact on the speed, success rate and overall ability for Novo Nordisk to expand the production capacity, hence a significant impact on the overall bottom line for the company.
 

You will report to the Director of Global Transfers, become a member of the leadership team, and be part of building up the newly established department. 
 

Qualifications
We expect that you have:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering, Business Administration).
  • Relevant years of experience as a leader and managing projects, ideally some knowledge in complex project management. 
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical production, preferably with experience in aseptic production.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating an environment where your team thrives and performs at their best.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively in a professional English-speaking environment.

 

About the department 
The VP area Manufacturing Science & Transfers (MS&T) is an area with around 130 dedicated employees. We own the manufacturing standards across the production network and are the experts within manufacturing science. We support the sites and continuously optimise our manufacturing processes. Support all product transfers across the production network. 
Global Transfers is a department in MS&T. We manage tech. transfers projects and product transfer projects (incl. campaign and upscale) – both internal and at CMO’s. We represent MS&T in different network related to expansion and tech. transfer, and we work continuously to optimize the transfer processes.
