The position
Together with the IT Consulting Procurement Team, you will be responsible for securing that we engage the best partners and secure the best terms for Novo Nordisk. You will be taking ownership of developing our category strategy with knowledge and input from souring colleagues and relevant stakeholders, as well as being a thrusted business partner towards your own dedicated stakeholder environment.
This role includes a wide range of strategic and tactical procurement tasks, such as:
- Develop, structure, and implement a category strategy and activities within the IT Consulting category in close collaboration with rest of the IT Consulting Procurement Team and across our global organisation.
- Close collaboration with stakeholders at all levels and managing your own pipeline of strategic sourcing projects.
- Contribute to all phases of sourcing and negotiations with suppliers.
- Maintain a consistent focus on optimising purchasing processes and procedures.
- Facilitate collaboration with strategic suppliers and drive Supplier Performance Management.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and develop and mentor less experienced profiles to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Qualifications
You hold a relevant academic degree, e.g. HD/B.Sc./M.Sc. in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, IT engineer or similar, and have at least 5 to 10 years of relevant sourcing experience from preferably working with IT Consulting (SI), Off-shore consultancy, Digitalization, IT Procurement (SW/SaaS) or management consulting.
- Well-proven experience and track record with strategic procurement (developing and executing category strategies) and category management.
- Knowledge on IT methodologies like SAFE, Agile and Scrum is an advantage.
- Well-proven experience and track record in executing tender processes and doing complex negotiation.
- Advanced project management skills, including the ability to develop business and project plans and drive problem solving.
- Advanced Excel, Power BI, and Coupa Purchasing suite is an advantage.
On a personal level, you are result-oriented, have great people skills and feel comfortable cooperating with colleagues at all levels. You are a true team player with the ability to challenge the current situation with strong communication and sharp analytical skills.
About the department
Corporate Procurement is responsible for the indirect spend in Novo Nordisk and has just launched a new strategy to cater for future needs, so exciting times are ahead of you as a new colleague.
