The position

 

Your main responsibilities will include the ongoing communication with major investors and the financial analysts who cover the Novo Nordisk stock. This includes preparation of company announcements as well as materials for conference calls, investor roadshows and capital market days.

 

As an IR Officer, you will be travelling together with executive management and on your own to meet investors and analysts in connection with quarterly results announcements and investor conferences across the world. As we are meeting with investors both virtually and physically, you must be willing to travel around 30 days per year.

You are expected to stay on top of Novo Nordisk’s business so that you can contribute to the continuous communication and development of Novo Nordisk’s equity story. This includes Novo Nordisk’s financial performance, research and development activities, production, commercial market dynamics and competitive environment as well as our strategies and initiatives within Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG).

 

Qualifications

 

As an ideal candidate you have:

  • Scientific master’s degree or PhD, master’s degree in finance, MBA or similar
  • Strong understanding of both science and business
  • Significant experience from the pharmaceutical industry or experience from working in an investment bank or strategy consulting
  • With at least 4-5 years of work experience

 

Your analytical mindset is accompanied by strong emotional intelligence including the natural ability to build relationships and trust with both external and internal stakeholders. You possess strong communication skills, a demonstrated ability to drive personal impact and you are ready to invest time and effort in understanding science and business in detail. Further, you possess a strong quality mindset, and you never lose focus, despite changing demands and tight deadlines.

 

About the Department

 

The IR Department is part of the EVP area Finance, Legal & Global Solutions, and the CVP & Head of IR reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

 

We are a small, dedicated team who are responsible for Novo Nordisk’s communication with investors and financial analysts on a global level.
