Investment Manager, CMC Investment Project Office (maternity cover)
Are you ready for an influential role within an exciting investment portfolio with the opportunity to shape a Project Office and the investment processes? We are looking for an experienced Investment Manager to lead and optimise the CMC capital investment portfolio. In this role you will manage a broad CAPEX portfolio (annual spend ~800–1,000 MDKK with expected growth), drive the CAPEX strategy, perform financial and feasibility analyses, and manage projects through their full lifecycle.

Your new role
As an Investment Manager, you will work closely with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional partners to ensure projects deliver on time, within budget and aligned to Novo Nordisk’s strategic priorities. Your key responsibilities will be:
- Drive the annual process to build a CAPEX portfolio that maintains the right balance between needed gap closing activities (investment projects), funding and strategic direction of CMC Management (SVP).
- Manage and prepare for the CMC Investment Portfolio Group (IPG) including presentation of actual status of investments projects.
- Conduct monthly reviews of ongoing CAPEX projects to assess performance against established KPIs, cashflows and identify areas for improvement.
- Interact with the Operations heads to ensure adherence between the operational need and the investment portfolio.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams including corporate finance, operations, engineering and other Global/HQ functions to drive successful delivery.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to capital investment management.
- Clarity superuser (NN’s portfolio management tool).
- Support ad hoc strategic tasks/presentation and buy‑up cases from line management.
Your skills and qualifications
You will be a great asset to our team because you have a master’s degree in finance, engineering, business administration, or equivalent. Furthermore, you have:
- M.Sc. in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or other relevant academic degree
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in investment management or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of investment projects and project execution.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.

Your new area
CMC Investment manages the project portfolio investments in CMC and plays a significant role in bringing new medicinal products to the market. We are a team of ~20 colleagues and are based in Bagsværd Denmark. Responsibilities of the department include project management, leading strategy discussions and decision-making processes to effectively lead internal partners and CAPEX portfolio management for CMC.
