The position
As Head of the department, you will pursue innovative approaches to handling challenging compliance issues, incl. forming strategies and ensuring execution in close collaboration with internal and external partners. 

 

The potential impact of your work is large, given that you will:

 

  • Drive development and implementation of the PSQIT Ethics & compliance program
  • Ethics and compliance risk management across the PSQIT organisation
  • Provide guidance, training, and advice to the PSQIT organisation on ethics and compliance 
  • Lead a team of ethics counsellors, ensuring progress on strategic compliance projects with high complexity
  • Drive reporting to senior management and our top governance board on ethics & compliance relating to the PSQIT organisation
  • Work closely with our Global Business Ethics department and other colleagues across the world, incl. at the local production sites, leveraging all relevant competencies

 

To address the increasing need for strong ethics and compliance you will be expected to help guide the global PSQIT organisation and develop solutions to new and challenging issues in a rapidly changing and dynamic environment.

 

The position will offer you a unique opportunity to obtain valuable insights into Novo Nordisk’s business and will give you exposure to a diverse range of stakeholders across the global organisation.

 

Because of the global nature of our work, some travel may occur expected (1-2 weeks/year).

 

Qualifications
You hold a relevant master’s degree in Law, Business or similar, have minimum 5 years of post-graduation experience, and have a strong track record as compliance counsel in an internationally oriented company. It is an advantage to have previous experience within the pharmaceutical industry, further, it is an advantage to have experience as a people manager.

  • A strong ethical mindset combined with a solid understanding of our business needs, which allows you to provide sound advice and find pragmatic solutions 
  • Project management skills, incl. ability to drive multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a structured manner, and to take a strategic approach to risk management and prioritisation
  • Proactive and result-oriented approach to problem solving
  • Strong written and verbal English communication and stakeholder management skills, which enable you to clearly convey complex issues and navigate among stakeholders from different cultures and business functions

 

You will bring to your work a high level of energy, positive attitude, and team-oriented approach, and will lead a team of highly motivated and collaborative professionals.

 

About the department
The position reports to the Vice President for Production & Investment Finance, with the department purpose of providing specialist support and guidance to production divisions related to production accounting, compliance and investment finance standards. The position will be part of the management team.
