The Position

In this job you will be responsible for developing and driving our global stem cell policy strategy. You will be based in Copenhagen or Brussels,  and report to the Vice President of Global Public Affairs & Patient Relations.


The key responsibilities are:


  • Setting the strategic direction of Novo Nordisk’s global approach to Stem Cell Policy including driving excellence and capabilities in policies related to stem cell therapy and Parkinson’s Disease, Chronic Heart Failure, T1D and Dry Age Related Macular Degeneration globally. There will be a particular focus on Parkinson’s disease
  • Facilitating thought leadership and best practices on stem cell policy, regulatory and reimbursement across internal and external stakeholders in JP, US, EU
  • Proactively shaping the EU regulatory landscape, and EU level policies impacting Member State reimbursement and value frameworks to enable faster and better uptake of innovative stem cell therapies
  • Developing and implementing an EU thought leadership programme including alliance building, partnerships, and Senior Executive engagement


Succeeding in the role involves the ability to build strategic alliances and partnerships with external stakeholders and to build effective relationships across the internal Novo Nordisk value chain. Furthermore, ensuring a clear integration between the different teams in Global Public Affairs & Sustainability as well as the relevant teams in CSCA towards the global organisation is critical for success.

Frequent travel to meet internal and external stakeholders must be expected.



The preferred candidate holds a university degree in business, political science or a related field, in combination with international, senior level experience within healthcare. This experience should include a track record of shaping, building and driving an impactful public affairs agenda from a corporate perspective.


You are a strong strategic thinker who can create engagement and followership and you possess a proven track record in building credibility with external and internal stakeholders at all levels.
