The position
We handle personal data for all Novo Nordisk A/S employees and the requirements concerning personal data related to central HR processes and IT-systems fall within our area of responsibility. You will be responsible for driving and implementing processes that involve processing of employees´ personal data and operational GDPR go-to person for our area and will act with a regional impact and in close collaboration with our colleagues in Bangalore.


Your role will require you to work simultaneously on several layers at once as you will be reporting potential data breaches to Novo Nordisk Data Protection Office (DPO) and handling data subject access requests in collaboration with DPO, while being responsible for conducting and documenting training as well as help Novo Nordisk to further develop our personal data policies. You need to understand the type of GDPR processes that are required and ensure the specifics of any flows of personal data, and also have an understanding of the structure of the IT-systems within HR.


On an ongoing basis we support other areas in Novo Nordisk and local HR in handling employees´ personal data. We work closely together with DPO to ensure adherence throughout the organisation to relevant legislation (primarily GDPR) and internal principles for handling employees personal data guided by the Global People Compliance team. 



  • The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree within HR or any other relevant field and have experience in implementing processes related to personal data legislation.
  • You have experience from a large international organisation, and you manage to inspire and motivate your colleagues while setting a clear direction for the GDPR area.
  • You thrive in an operational role where you use your legal insight to take the right decisions.
  • You possess good communication skills and intercultural understanding.
  • It´s a great advantage to have experience with HR processes and/or HR IT systems and with collaborating with global stakeholders. 
  • As our corporate language is English, you must - besides being fluent in Danish - have a good command of the English language.
  • Finally, you must be willing to learn fast, while also having a bit of fun with one of the best teams you could imagine.


About the department

askHR Denmark supports the 19.500 Danish Novo Nordisk leaders and employees within the area of HR administration, providing guidance and counselling on questions related to personnel administration and Novo Nordisk labour guidelines via the askHR help desk and portal.


The department consists of 25 great colleagues, working with both operational HR support, projects and HR advisory. askHR DK is anchored under the CVP area Global P&O Services.

askHR works closely with the Global Business Service HR function in Bangalore, which supports the department with many of the transactional HR tasks related to the administration. You will work together with a team of highly dedicated and experienced HR Consultants, Principal administrative and work closely together with our lead GDPR professional.
