Join R&D Finance and play a key role in securing robust financial numbers, strategic resource allocation and value creation across late‑stage clinical trials.

 

Your new role

As Finance Partner, you will be responsible for the financial management of the clinical trials in Novo Nordisk, ensuring compliance in our reporting, driving best in class budget estimates and challenging the clinical projects to ensure value creation in the R&D late-stage drug project portfolio in Novo Nordisk.

The role entails a broad range of responsibilities, such as:

  • Financial planning, resource allocation and budgeting
  • Financial controlling and financial reporting to senior management
  • Ensuring compliance with internal and external financial standards
  • Creating transparency and financial insights for decision making
  • Collaboration and sparring with stakeholders in R&D projects and Global Trial Portfolio
  • Driving process improvement projects and supporting on development and implementation of new digital solutions

Your new department

R&D Finance is part of Novo Nordisk Business Finance and is responsible for the financial management of the Research & Development organisation and projects in the R&D pipeline. In R&D Finance you will be part of a young and ambitious team consisting of three teams with employees in Denmark and US, supported by colleagues from Global Business Services in India. Our overall ambition is to create impact by financial steering and finance partnering to our stakeholders by combining strong functional competencies with a solid understanding of the business in which we operate. To do this, we collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation. We invest significant resources in developing our employees through close sparring, frequent feedback and by giving inspiring tasks and a high degree of responsibility.

 

Your skills & qualifications
To excel in this role, the following qualifications are required:

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Financial Controlling, Finance Partnering or other relevant position
  • Strong analytical skills, always keeping the overall purpose in mind
  • Ability to communicate clear and precise with stakeholders at all levels in the organisation, with proficiency in English both oral & written
  • Self-driven and ability to work independently
  • Good collaboration skills
  • Experience with MS Excel and Power Point
  • Basic SAP knowledge is an advantage
  • Insights into clinical drug development is an advantage

As a person, you are proactive, self-driven, pleasantly persistent and a team player with strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
